I'll start by saying I'm an older woman and it took me about 30 minutes to unpack and assemble it. Probably 10 minutes to unpack, 10 to be confused by the directions, and 10 to assemble once I figured out the confusion. The directions have you assembling some components using bolts and washers that are already assembled, so you have extras at the end (pictured). The package arrived quickly, the parts very well protected, not to heavy for me to handle alone. I am really surprised at how easy it was to put together. The operation is quite smooth, both standing and sitting. This is my first day of use, but I can tell it will give me a really good workout. I'd say I'm in "fair" physical shape - walk several miles a day, but really need core and arm exercise. I am able to operate it just fine, but on my first day, 10 minutes was a challenge for my upper body muscles. I need that challenge and plan to work up a few more minutes each day. So far, I'm really happy with it.

I had a aerobic rider years ago and gave it away . I really remember how it was easy to us and kept me fit. So, I have been looking for another one. The ones for sale were from the united states. The price for shipping was a lot for me. This fit rider is closest to what I was looking for. It feels so satisfying to have a machine like this for the low price I got it for in Canada.

I am 84 years old female and i just had my shoulders replaced and i have have had spinal fusion on my back so it is weak. My theighs are weak and my knees hurt. I am an old mess. This machine gives me the opertunity to exercise without putting too much stress on my body. The good part is, it is NOT a bicycle, It helps to strengthen my muscles that help me to walk and get up from sitting in a chair.. Also strengthens my arms because after shoulder replacement surgery my arms were very weak. Getting up from sitting in a chair is difficult for me this why i really bought this maching, to strengthen my back and theighs. The seat is high enough where i can get on and off the machine easily. I cannot get down too low near the floor. The rowing machines that are simular are too close to the floor. Also I have it in my bedroom and it does not take up a lot of room. I use it in the moring after getting up, before I go in to shower. I feel good after using the machine. I really love and recommend the machine. I give 5 stars plus.!! I think it gives me a over all exercise to all my mucles. I cannot say enough good things about this machine. Small, compact, and functional.

I had a Health Rider clone way back in the 1990s and loved it. It set me on a path where I was eventually not intimidated to go to a gym. After about ten years of using a gym, I stopped going. I and am now in my late 50s, haven't been in an exercise program for many years, and am borderline obese (but under the 250 lb weight limit of this machine). Well, I looked for a Health Rider, but that company stopped making them, and even used ones are on the expensive side. This FitRider X is the closest thing, it's affordable, and looks like it is built to last. It wasn't that difficult to assemble, I'm not particularly handy and I did it in under an hour. While it doesn't fold for storage, it doesn't take up much space. It is very low impact exercise which makes it ideal for beginners. It's a good workout. I am more than satisfied with this product.
