But $100 for beard trimmer is a lot, so the value here is debatable. I went with the more expensive SB version. But it nails my requirements, with being water resistant, adjustable, good quality, and with a plastic guard that isn't so long, it makes it tough to trim around your nose. Some of the other trimmers out there are probably a better value? But I've tried a few and this is my favorite. Only downsides, is that it's a fair amount larger than some of the competitors out there, and moderately noisier. But it seems to cut better.

I bought this to replace a trimmer I had for years. I love this because it has more adjustments so you can make it trim your beard a little bit longer. It cuts very well. The charge doesn't last as long as my old trimmer but that's not horrible and you maybe need to charge it once a month, which, when you think of it, isn't too bad. I would definitely buy this again!

A bit pricey, but it cuts better than every other beard trimmer I've used. Battery lasts a long time. Convenient guard form getting beard lenght just right.

It works quite well there’s nothing to fault it in terms of its function. It keeps my beard at exactly the length I want and sometimes I use it on my head hair as well between haircuts. The battery takes a long time to charge and doesn’t last very long, but that’s OK as long as you stay on top of it. It uses a proprietary connection for the battery charger so you can’t use any random USB-C or something like that. I had an older model with a nonreplaceable ni-cad battery that went bad. I externalized the power, wires and screwed AA battery holder on the outside of the case and connected the wires to that. That trimmer is about 15 years old and still works with my modification but I just wanted this new one. Overall, I’m glad I bought it.

I've had all the cheaper trimmers out there, they work ok, and perform well around $40-50. So why would you spend 3 time the amount on this trimmer? 1. The battery life is amazing, being a Li ion setup it can last a whole week before charging, which makes it perfect for travel. This is the only Li Ion panasonic beard trimmer out right now, the others are older tech that is cheaper. Step up to something better! 2. The motor is the most powerful i've ever owned, it sounds different, very very fast, very very smooth. My other trimmer sometimes felt like it was tugging at my long beard hair, this thing sounds like a formula one engine turning on, very satisfying sound and performance. 3. Insane fine adjustment! This thing can adjust itself in very fine adjustments, way more so then my previous trimmers. 4. Sturdy and well built, it doesn't feel like a toy. This feels like the Rolex of trimmers, a little bigger, a little heavier, finely machined and assembled. 5. Waterproof?! This thing can handle an adventure in the shower, or a quick wash down to get it clean again! The other ones in this series do not provide that. So who should buy this? Someone who wants to pamper themself on something better. We all trim our beards or body hair often, make it a peaceful experience! I highly recommend this trimmer!

I know that a lot of reviewers complain that this trimmer makes the trimmed hair "fly" around the bathroom countertop. However, after having purchased a cheaper beard trimmer that had a built-In "vacuum" that sucked the hair into a small chamber, I decided to spend the extra bucks to buy this one because the cheaper model only lasted about 5 months before some of the flimsy plastic parts broke. This trimmer is amazing! When you turn it on, there is a "professional" hum of the motor. It has a really nice feel in the hand and is easy to maneuver. All of the trimmer parts are rinseable and the guard is made of a high quality plastic that won't break easily. There is an adjustment "wheel" that can adjust from super-short to five o'clock shadow length. Note: this is NOT a trimmer for long beards - it is meant to be used with close-cropped beards. The battery life is excellent as well. One full charge has lasted me 3+ weeks of daily trimming of my beard. It also has a great safety feature to child-proof the trimmer: simply hold the power button in, and the trimmer is locked so it can't accidentally be turned on. Another long-press will unlock the trimmer for use. I highly recommend this trimmer even though it costs almost double of cheaper models. But as I said, having been disappointed with a cheaper trimmer that didn't last more than 5 months, it is well worth the extra money.

This is a powerful and robust trimmer; however, there is one major flaw with it. It gets really hot after a few seconds of usage. So hot that it will burn your skin if the metal blade touches your face without the plastic guard. This is unsafe and probably damages your skin and hair and potentially causes more downstream issues.

I don't understand the sizeing of these blades. A number 2 on this is ALOT shorter then a number 2 with a normal hair trimmer! But I must say, I really love my blades, they are perfect blades to work on a nice fade!

I have yet to actually try the product, and I will edit this later on to provide my opinion on it, but sadly I didn’t read it was coming from Amazon USA when I ordered it on Amazon.com.au haha.. so just a heads up if you are ordering from Australia, you will need a converter from USA to AUS. I’ve heard great things about this shaver so i will update on how it performs!
