This is a really nice looking watch at a great price. It's very hard to find a watch that doesn't require a battery now days and if you do it's either really cheap and ugly and you really don't want it or if you do find one that looks really nice, it will set you back a pretty penny more than this gem will. This really is an attractive watch. Truly is scratch resistant, durable and easy to read. Although it's a man's watch I not only bought one for my husband but I got one for myself. We both wear them everyday and love them. His is blue and mine black. These are light weight and the battery charges just by wearing it. We both highly love them and highly recommend them to anyone.

First off, the design of this pilot watch is what caught my eye. It is beautiful and runs on a Miyota 8215(almost the same as the 8205). The 8205 also displays the day. This movement is very quiet... both when running and winding. It simply doesn't have a rough feel when winding. The movement also has hacking capability... nice! The lens is sapphire crystal(curved), offering great scratch resistance. The case and case back are stainless steel(probably 304 stainless) with the case back hardened to an hv600 level. This gives the case back added resistance to scratches. Nice feature! The leather band is attractive but I would've liked a softer leather... personal preference. It also has a quick release( for easy band removal), a welcome feature. The crown is both beautiful and rugged with a nice feel to it. After running it for 24 hours the watch only lost 7 seconds. I consider this movement very accurate based on that. Luminosity was great but didn't last long. Not a deal breaker. Overall, this watch is well done in just about every way. Great looking watch that I would recommend to anyone looking for quality at a great price.

While it looks really sexy my example of this watch seemed to be unadjusted or not lubricated loosing minutes every eight hours, as such it cannot be trusted for it's primary function, showing the correct time. The leather band was also very stiff but did work, although for me it was too short. Lume was good in this price range, though not long lasting.

Don't be fooled by price from this watch maker this is a very nice feel great watch. Silky smooth feel of the piece. Easy to see and a fabulous sapphire glass. Very low profile just micro fraction of a nice curve. It's not a heavy watch and not junk. Very impressed with the smooth rounded edges. The leather strap is great quality with an impressive robust positive buckle. This watch really nails it. I'm familiar with the myota 8215 hack movement. They are a durable reliable movement even though it's not a high end. Bulova uses the same movements if you were curious

So you get more than you pay for. Even though its not an expensive automatic watch mine is very accurate. Looks great and the size is perfect. If you want 1940s style watch this is worth thinking about.very happy with this purchase. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

This is a great value for the money. The movement is a Miyota 8215 automatic. It's well worth buying.

Purchased in February stopped working in August

Not a reliable watch. Time loss is huge. I noticed that with just the smallest sudden movement of the watch, the second hand briefly stops. Now this is a feature of some automatic movements, but I have a feeling that it could be the source of the problem. It looks good. But as a watch it is not good.
