Bought this to fix the HVAC mode actuator on my car which broke. Amazon shipped faster than the dealer could and at a better price. Part installation took a while since this is embedded under the dash by the steering wheel but with the right combination of a 1/4 drive, universal joint, long extensions, and bendable screw driver extension with 1/4 drive adapter I was able to get to the three bolts that mount this actuator onto the car from the drivers side floor. Genuine OEM part.

Fit perfect works great saved me a lot of money

It was the fix for no defrost. Part was good oem quality. Took about 40 mins in the driveway. Definitely a DIY fix. No special tools required. 2016 Ford Explorer

amazon has a check your vehicle for exact fit, which was of no help to me the previous part I bought said it would fit, wrong so I had to take a picture of my existing one and found this one that did, installed it and works good as factory

This fit the driver side AC airbox control on my 2012 Ford F1 50 platinum FX4. Very easy to install and saved about $300 from taking it to the Ford dealer

Fit our 08 taurus limited perfectly. This motor is one of the two located above the gas pedal. This one is the upper one. Be prepared though, this thing is a bear to install. I had to modify a nut driver to fit into the tight spots. This motor is what controls which vents the air comes out of in the car. Defrost, floor, face, etc.

Important! Please be aware that there are 3 different units like this on a 2008 Taurus (and other similar Ford cars). This one (YH-1769) only fits on the upper part of the climate control duct work located above the gas pedal. The nearly identical but different unit found below the above mentioned unit is located only a few inches above the gas pedal (Part # YH-1779). It is not the same as this item YH-1769. Also the third unit found behind the Glove box door is YH-1779 not this unit YH-1769
