Great deep carry knife
This is a great knife. It’s perfect size to hide in your belt line. Cut a small slit in your jeans to clip it horizontally and you have a deep carry back up knife that can go undetected during a search or pat down…. Just saying. Is hard to hold onto though due to its slender size. I wouldn’t want to use it as an everyday carry.

Very elegant, well-made, but the sexy opening mechanism is sticky
Know what you're getting: to make this as sleek and light as it is, they drop some of the traditional layers in the construction. They still managed to make it comfortable in your hand, and it locks securely open, which is essential with such a long blade. But, the necessary design trade-offs to make that all possible... they result in the sexy flipper-opener thing sometimes getting stuck and needing a jiggle or a second hand to make it work. It's still completely functional, but if you're buying it because of the effortless-looking flick action you see in the videos, you'll be disappointed. I'm torn on the rating. For the currently-discounted price, it's a very nice piece of work, and I'm happy with it, especially for its ability to fit into a pen pocket in a bag, bib, etc. It's nearly a five-star product. But, because the flip-open mechanism is the main selling point, I have to take off a star for the inconsistency of the mechanism. (That said: you can try bending the locking bar a bit to improve the open, but it's very, very difficult to get it precisely where you want it, and it would be easy to bend it so far that it won't lock properly.)

10/10
I had this knife for a 2 years and never reviewed it. The build quality is very good, and it held its razor sharp edge for quite some time; I've only sharpened it once and it's still shaving sharp. It always flicked open exactly like I wanted it to (not too tight, not too lose). Personally, I find its size to be perfect [don't feel it in pockets]. It's thin construction, but still has a long enough blade to do pretty much anything ya need. 10/10, honestly.

Nice pocket knife
This knife has been my everyday carry for a while now—always in my pocket, every single day. It’s super lightweight and really comfortable to carry, to the point you almost forget it’s there. Solid build, sharp blade, and reliable performance. If you’re looking for a dependable EDC knife, just buy it. You won’t regret it.

For the price you should look elsewhere
Purchased this knife approximately two years ago and carried it nearly everyday. I wasn't much of knife nerd when I bought this, but if I had been I would have returned it immediately. For this price you should be looking elsewhere. I appreciate the slim form factor of this knife, but everything else about it needs work. The knife is very difficult to open and I even filed down the locking closure stud myself to help. Over the years the wobble of the knife-to-body joint in the locked position became severe. Even after tightening, the joint would loosen immediately. The build quality seems ok, and it functionally opens packages well enough to keep it from a single star review.

Good design, not so good execution.
I really wanted to love this knife, but, it was a dissappointment. The appearance and profile was very appealing to me. I was not thrilled by the materials, but, I was hoping the design and execution would make up for the less than stellar materials...after all, it is a pokey-stabby, not a hard use work knife. I like the look of it, and the design was well thought out, simple and elegant. However, that's where my affection for the knife ended. Deploying with the flipper was hit and miss, and required an aggressive approach. The detent was too strong for me taste, and did not seem to be ramped at all. It was difficult to close with one hand, although it did lock up solidly, with no play. The blade profile was nice, but, imperfectly ground and not perfectly centered. The finish was thin or worn off in a few spots right out of the box. Perhaps they accidentally sent me one that had been handled prior to shipping. In any case, it did not inspire confidence in the coating material. Overall, I like the design, it just wasn't executed well, in comparison to the similar knives of this type that I have got from CRKT, Boker, Schrade, or even some of the no-name budget ones. This knife could be really good, and would be competitive at this price range with a bit more attention to detail in manufacturing, an upgrade in materials, and a deep carry clip.

Cut the night with the light and everything else with the knife…COAST!! Just too easy!
Whether on the boat, on a date or in a duck blind or deer stand…COAST cuts the night with the light and everything else with the knife. Solid, quality, price, compactness. Carry both flashlight and knife whether out to eat, walking the dog, in the boat, throwing decoys out or skinning a deer. I live in the Lowcountry and saltwater and marsh is my life. Not a bit of trouble or spot of rust on either light of knifes. Seem to be self lubricating, finger tab allows quick snap opening. Even in the in the salt water, the light must be water proof. Got soaking wet and hasn’t missed a lick. Stick bright as the day I unboxed it. Knife as sharp as the day I opened it. Good job COAST!!
