When everything shut down for Covid, I was glad that we had equipment at home to continue our workouts. The shutdown did force me to acknowledge the weak areas in our home gym. While we had weights and cardio covered, we didn't have a good surface that was conducive to stretching and practicing BJJ techniques when we couldn't go to class. I set out to find a solution that would produce an acceptable surface on a concrete basement floor. I looked at many alternatives and had settled on a huge supplier of MMA mats. The one I honed in on would roll up out of the way when not in use. I started looking for the least expensive place to purchase the mats and landed at Amazon. What I found is that those mats are significantly more expensive for less coverage and that they never go on sale. Since I was shopping Amazon at this point I looked for alternatives and found these. After reading the reviews I ended up ordering 3 mats, which gave us a 10x12 area for about $250 less that what I had been shopping for. These mats seem very sturdy and easily fold out of the way. The velcro appears to be strong enough to hold the mats tightly together while we roll around on them and I don't think we will take them apart often enough to have this wear out. The padding is also thick enough so we do not have any issues using these directly on an epoxy coated concrete floor. The vinyl seems thick enough to be good for the long haul as well. In the end, we will use these several times a week for a little practice but the commercial mats that are more expensive were probably overkill. These mats came with a 2 year warranty so while I don't anticipate any issues with them, I will probably just replace them if something happens to them down the road. These are probably the best value out there in folding gym mats and they are working great for why we bought them so far.

Really superior product! Over size and great padding. Perfect for exercises on your back and doing pushups. Better than I expected. Folds up nice and has two carry handles.

Great mat! We purchased one and a soon as we received it, we turned around a purchased another. It's perfect for practicing jiu-jitsu or tumbling at home. It's made of quality material. It's thick and supportive and doesn't give when you're on it, but it's soft and will protect your body from the hard floor. I think it will last for a long while.

Absolutely love quality. Thick & large enough for my husband, little one and I to all do yoga at the same time.

Well, right off the bat there was an issue when I received a purple mat instead of gray like I ordered (see three photos). I let the seller know, and proposed that I would keep the mat instead of returning it if they'd be willing to offer a partial refund as there were purple mats in the same size that I could get from other sellers for less money if I had wanted that color. They agreed, and although it took a little longer than a week to see the refund pending on my card, they made good on their word, so I kept the mat. Honestly, I hate this shade of Barney purple, but whatever. As long as it serves its purpose... Upon totally unboxing and unfolding the mat, everything looks good. No rips/tears or defects as far as I can tell. I'll edit this review in the future if it doesn't hold up well, but I think it will as most other reviews indicate that it does, and as far as the seller's communication, I'm very satisfied.

Got this to go with a gymnastic bar. Good quality, thick pad and folds up nicely.

My daughter has started to absolutely love gymnastics, and I knew I had to get her a matt right away. What's nice about this one?It is the perfect size without being too big or small. It provides just enough cushion for falls and is very squishy. It's easy to move and carry with the handles that are provided and is going to get a lot of use in this house!
