I do see any vents.** A: This is a very good hat for hot weather. I wear it in the Arizona summers with no trouble! There are no vents, but the fabric is very lightweight, so your head does not get sweaty. Definitely recommend! **Q: A question for the owner: What size head do the various sizes of this hat fit?** A: I wear a 7 1/8 -7 1/4" hat, depending on the maker. I have several of these Radar Pocket Caps and LOVE them. There is a very tiny bit of variation from one hat to another, but I find that the medium size fits fine. On some of these caps, the medium is a bit snug (but not uncomfortably so) and on others the fit is just a tiny bit looser (which I like better.) I chalk this up to variations in manufacturing. If your head is bigger than 7 1/4, you will likely find that the medium is too small for you. **Q: Hello, I use a 7 5/8 size hat, what size would this be? It actually makes for a far nicer presentation than I expected (which was just to have a crumpled hat in an envelope). The hat, itself is extremely lightweight, cool and comfortable. The large size happened to fit my head almost perfectly, just slightly loose, which was unexpected since I have a fairly large melon. I like the unstructured, foldable design which allows you to carry it in a day pack or pocket so you can always have head protection on you when you need it. That's why I consider it an EDC hat because it's the only one I have that I can keep on me without having to wear it all day. Seems well constructed and I like the cool feel of the Supplex nylon. Finally, I like the fact that there aren't any strange adjustment straps to fool with, just a simple, fitted design. From their softshells, to mittens, I've liked everything I've bought from them. Good quality, good fit (i.e. not boxy), and lifetime guarantee all add up to repeat purchases on my part.My wife and I both have this hat. She has two of them in Medium, and I wear a Large. I've got a big head, and I was surprised at how big the Large is. I ordered both a L and XL and returned the XL as it looked like I was a little kid wearing my father's hat.As others have mentioned, the biggest plus is how easy it is to carry this thing and how versatile it is. I always toss it in my backpack while hiking, I wear it while running errands on Sundays, and I always toss it in my back when travelling. I tend to avoid it in the dead of summer as the synthetic material, while thin, doesn't breathe all that well. Conversely, it's not warm enough to wear as a hat in the winter. Its really best suited for fall and spring.I've found myself using it most when I travel. Its light and packs easy, and doesn't look goofy. My wife brought one to Peru and basically lived in it for 2 weeks through all kinds of weather. It blocks the sun (as it's got an spf30 rating), fit the part of a backpacker, and was easily stowable in any just about any pocket.To recap:Pros - Versatility, looks good, brim doesn't look like it folds while wearing it (it stays rouned), dries quickly, ideal for travel.Cons - Its really only suited for the shoulder seasons. If you want a warm weather version, opt for the one with the little mesh vent panels on the sides.
