Best cat food ever
This is the ONLY soft cat food my cat has ever liked in 6 years. He now has a better thirst response and his stools are much better, healthier. Made to help keep cats hydrated. This food is the real deal!

Both Cats LOVE This Food
Our cats are on a grain-free dry food and the Weruva Funk in the Trunk is a supplementary treat for them. In the past, they developed digestive issues with every canned food we tried. Maybe it was the carrageenan present in the other foods. Can't say for certain. But not a single sign of any problems with the Weruva (for over a year). I like the ingredients listed. The chicken is obviously human food grade. White meat, and sometimes large sections that I cut before serving to the cats, because one of my finicky felines seems to prefer veggies and won't eat large pieces of meat. She licks every bit of the "gravy" off and leaves chicken in the bowl (which the next cat is happy to clean up). The cats exhibit more energy, and their coats are shinier and softer since getting this food every two or three days. Some people note their cats don't drink enough water (and need it from wet food). Wet food is great to add moisture to their diet. But our cats run to the water bowl every time we dump, rinse, and fill it with filtered water from the Brita pitcher. What I really wanted was something that I could easily mix cranberry extract into for the cats (to prevent crystals/UTIs) that they'd gobble up, so I could stop giving them the water I drain off tins of tuna (and possibly exposing them to mercury). This does it. I selected this particular brand over another grain-free canned food [Halo's Spots Stew] due to another reviewer's caution that that one contained carrageenan, which is NOT SAFE for humans or pets to eat, and then went on to mention the Weruva brand has NO CARRAGEENAN. It's a little pricey, but keeps the cats healthier and happier. I add cranberry to their daily diet since our female had a severe UTI back in 2010. It came on so fast, we had no idea she was sick until she was lethargic and could barely walk. Had to rush her to the E.R. Thankfully she survived. The tab for that visit ran $1200. The Weruva and added cranberry is worth it.

Great food!
I got this for our 19 yr old my kitty because he has both kidney disease and pancreatitis. This was the only food I could find with a lower phosphorus content (for kidney disease), and a lower fat content (for pancreatitis); with protein levels still within the acceptable range for his species. He's been eating this food for several months and seems to really enjoy the taste. As a raw-feeder, high quality food is extremely important; and I feel better about feeding this food, because there are no fillers in it. As a 19 yo kitty, he is eating 2 full 6 oz-sized cans per day, which is actually slightly over the recommended serving size for his former weight; but because of his health issues, he's still managing to lose weight. He may have another health consideration causing the weight loss - but so far the Vet hasn't found it. Thankfully, this food does not have an unpleasant odor, as some other kitty foods do. So, this is a high recommend if your kitty has impaired kidney function, and you don't want to feed the HSD, Royal Canin or Purina "prescription" foods to your animals that our Vets like to push onto us concerned pet parents. HINT: Vets get a stipend for prescribing these foods, and there are no medications in the food that will cure disease. My dog died as a result of HSD & traditional Veterinary care, so I refuse to feed any of my animals a "prescription" food.

1 Cat Liked it, 1 Cat Turned His Nose Up at It. - Don't Care for the Pumpkin Filler
Let me preface by saying I strive to get healthy cat food for my 3 cats, but this doesn't do any good if they won't eat it. I have a young adult and two 3.5 month old kittens. 1 Cat liked the food, the other turned his nose up to it, and the other wasnโt to be found for the video. So, I probably wonโt be purchasing this again. Cat food is too darn expensive and if the cats wonโt eat it, I wonโt buy it. This cat food is grain, starch and carrageenan free which is a plus for cats. In all honesty, I probably wouldnโt have purchased this if I had read the ingredients as my cats for whatever reason arenโt that fond of tuna. I saw the word โchickenโ and didnโt continue reading. I also donโt care to be feeding a bunch of vegetables. Cats are carnivores and need meat, not filler. I think when people see โgrain freeโ they assume there arenโt any fillers in the cat food. Anyway, this was my fault for not reading the can. I also donโt like cat food that contains fish, as it makes there poop really stink badly. I try to keep the cat box as clean as possible, but boy, can I tell when they have eaten fish. The can weighs 3.2 oz. and I feed the 3 cats half can in the morning and a can at night. As they continue to grow, I will probably be increasing this amount. The cans have easy pop top lids so no need for a can opener which is another plus and they stack well. The food actually looked very tasty, as far as cat food is concerned. The chicken is shredded and mixed with tuna and apparently a pumpkin consumme. This is definitely not your pate type of cat food I would recommend this for cats that like tuna.

RANKED #2 ON NATIONAL BEST KITTY FOOD LIST!!! NO MORE VOMITING :)
Our 1.5 year old charcoal grey tuxedo is a recent rescue, she had multiple infections skin/ear. Even after getting them under control, she would have dry patches and would throw up her food several times a week. On the contrast, we have a 4 year old Siamese rescue, but I've had him since he was 3 weeks old, he's very healthy, so I know what my baby's skin/nails/nose is supposed to look like. Monthly vet trips for our little girl and no one can tell us why she's throwing up her food (we or dry grain-free) all the time. One vet told me she had lupus and prescribed multiple prescriptions including fish oil, the combination of smelly and fruity??? medicines were damaging our relationship because I had to wrap her in a towel and force it into her mouth with a syringe. She's discriminating little lady and will not go near anything that doesn't smell the way she wants it to. We switched her to a new vet who told us that she DOESN'T have lupus, gave her an antibiotic shot and her skin/pads cleared up and have been pink since, so he got an A for that! However, I asked the vet about the throwing up and her scaly nose and he said that wasn't uncommon with kitties, and her brand of food was fine. EVERYDAY?!!! Ugh no dude!!! So, he got a F on that and I took my search to Google to talk to other kitty parents with the same issue. I found a listing of the best feline foods and this brand was #2 on the list! What got my attention was the comments on vomiting. Clicked to Amazon and was delighted to see it was available for Prime shipping, started weaning both babies the next day. Addison vomited the first day, but that was all! After about 2 weeks of weaning, they were on Weruva exclusively, this was 1.5 months ago and she hasn't thrown up since!!! Not only that, she LOVES this food, they both do! Adi NEVER chirped (she doesn't meow, its sooo cute!) for food before! When its time to eat, our Siamese does all the excited pre-chow conversating and Adi would just wait quietly on her perch at the cat tree, she would nibble a little and then get back down, and return to it later. NOW.....she's super vocal and tries to get up on the kitchen table while we're making their bowls and she doesn't walk away from her food until it ALL gone!!! Huge difference, now our Siamese can't steal bites from her bowl LOL!!! For the kitty parents that say this food is expensive...its $1.09/per can!!! Even if you order from the Dollar menu at Wendy's, you're paying more than that for lunch/dinner, why would our babies be worth less than that???!!! I'm not judging you, just say'n the numbers out loud! I've recommended and gifted this brand to multiple kitty parent friends/co-workers and would highly recommend it to anyone! And by the way, the scaly dry nose is now soft and moist, our little girl is happy and more healthy now, I couldn't be more pleased!!!

excellent grain-free and carrageenan-free cat food!
Both my cats absolutely love this food (and all the flavors of Cats in the Kitchen that I've tried). I've been feeding it for about 6 months, along with Wellness Core grain-free dry food. (Before that they were eating EVO wet and dry food, but I had concerns over the fact that EVO had been bought by Proctor and Gamble, who have a history of ruining good pet food brands once they take over.) I did a lot of research to find a wet food that was both grain free and carrageenan free (carrageenan is a bulking agent that has been linked to GI issues.) All the Cats in the Kitchen flavors are both grain- and carrageenan-free, with no animal byproducts. The food looks and smells very high quality (does not have a strong smell), and although most of the food is shredded meat or pate consistency, you can see some chunks of seafood in the seafood flavors. I haven't had any issues at all with stomach upset. I've noticed that my overweight 9-year-old cat has lost a few pounds since switching their food and is much more energetic and playful. It's definitely a bit pricey, but in this case you get what you pay for.

Literally worth jumping in the trashcan for
I have senior kitts, 15 and 14, and it's the first time in their lives I've seen one of them go as far as to jump into the trash can to try to retrieve an empty can. The food certainly doesn't smell nice to me, but the ingredients are stunning, and like I said, legitimate infatuation with this food ensues immediately upon introduction. I have one cat that eats everything, and one that doesn't and they both monch this up. Try it, and gimme a high-five if your bubba likes it.
