Rimmel Sunshimmer Water Resistant Instant Tan, Easy To Wash Off, Transfer Proof, Streak Free Colour, Medium Matte, 125ml

I’ve been using this in the summer for years. I put it over my light moisturiser or factor 50 sunscreen. It’s a non greasy gel that gives my skin a healthy colour without needing harmful sun exposure. It acts just as a colour wash which is much lighter than normal foundation. Therefore if I have any bits I want to conceal (bags under my eyes maybe? 😁) I dot on a bit of concealer before applying the Sunshimmer. I have very pale skin, but I tried the light shade and thought it looked a bit orange. I use just a small amount of the medium shade but it’s easy to layer on a bit more if desired, as it never looks heavy. I hope Rimmel never discontinue this, I’d be lost without it.

Lovely colour and is easy to apply. Havent used this product in years and didnt disapoint! Great for needing to tan short notice and a bonus its streak free when applied with a mit.

This gives a really lovely colour to your skin. It dries quickly so you have to be fast when applying! I use a brush & it goes on pretty smoothly. It does however, come off as soon as you wash your hands and it also transferred onto my sheets, so bear that in mind! For convenience and coverage though, I would definitely buy again!

I love this product it looks natural and doesn’t go in your clothes or bedding. Apply with a glove or it stains your hands. Shower to wash off.

I’ve been using this for years and always come back to it. It gives my skin a lovely natural-looking glow with a subtle shimmer, perfect for nights out or holidays. It blends easily, dries quickly and doesn’t leave me looking orange or streaky. It also stays put really well once it’s on. I’ve had so many people ask if I’ve been on holiday when I’m wearing it! For the price, it’s hard to beat.

The medium was way too dark for my skin (which was my fault), but it's rather orange. The product went on ok, using a tanning brush. It wasn't very good with water or heat though. I had fingerprints on my thigh, having rested my hand there for 5 minutes. Make sure to wear gloves when you apply it as it's really hard to get off. I couldn't even after using a scrub mitt. Was fine by the next day though.

I have bought this product a few times. Best fake tan I've ever bought. No smell and washing off easily.

Just tried this before wedding on Saturday, used a cheap self tan mitt. My legs are very white so wanted a slight colour ,was a bit sceptical but it looks great. Not too dark just a healthy glow, which is the look I was after. I did moisturise before applying as recommended by others. Highly recommend, and I have sensitive skin, but this product seems fine.

I first discovered this instant tan lotion about 2 years ago when I was visiting my daughter at her house. She had a tube of it in a drawer of her guest bath. My skin is very pale naturally. I am a Baby Boomer and can no longer lay out in the sun to get a tan. I could not believe the difference in my skin color after I applied this wonderful lotion. I went from pasty-white to a beautiful natural looking tan instantly! I have tried many self tanners in the past, and some of them look bad and some of them look good, but the negative part of ALL of them was the horrible smell. Within an hour of applying them, the smell was so bad that I had to try to get it off. But not Rimmel. The only thing I could smell was the normal pleasant smell of suntan lotion, which went away within 5 or 10 minutes after applying it. Even after hours of having Rimmel instant tan lotion on, there was not a bad muskie nasty smell like the others. I was SO happy!! And it does not rub off. My daughter had the 'Light Shimmer' color which is perfect for my complexion. (I once tried the 'Medium Shimmer' color and it was okay but seemed a little too dark on me and looked a little bit unnatural for my normal complexion color). It seems that Rimmel might have discontinued this product and I am super thankful I can still find it through Amazon. When I find a vendor that does supply it, I try to stock up. I keep the extra tubes in a plastic container in my refrigerator to keep them fresh so they won't smell rancid. By the way, I wanted to mention that because the color is a 'Shimmer' color, it does not look "sparkly" on your skin. It looks very natural. I absolutely love this product! 🏝😃👍

I really like this product! Great coverage, easy to apply. Non-transferring to clothes. I followed everyone's lead on making sure it is fully dry before getting dressed. It didn't leave extra pigment on the knees, ankles, or elbows, which is a first for me! I used a self tanner brush to apply and it was easy to evenly apply. It adds a nice color boost without appearing orange. Would definitey recommend and I will buy again!

I've used this product for years. I airbrush tan, so my face wears off the fastest and this is a good product to get me until my next tan. It is very natural looking, but it works better when you mix it with a dab of face cream to help it blend better.
