Is this the usb-c or usb-a version?

Hello - the iLok has what I call a standard USB plug - I think that is an A - it's certainly larger what I believe to be a C plug.

Can i put licenses on this instead of the computer itself?

Yes. As long as the manufacturer supports iLok. Most do, but Waves for example doesn't support iLok.
