And for good reason the natural light oak we use is pleasing to the eye as only 100% real white oak can be. Ensure you are buying real ‘Oak’ frames as many are not real oak and will disappoint if you are looking for a natural oak finish. So, if you care about looks why not treat yourself to the real thing ;) We have cheered up many a disappointed customer who have bought one of the many fake oak frames made from MDF, plastic or even cheap Polycore (a compressed polystyrene compound). They may look ok from a distance but Polycore in ' Lime Oak ' colour is a brittle compound that can break easily if dropped or knocked off the wall dusting hence its low cost – you get what you pay for. Our 6x9 wooden frames can be hung in either in portrait or landscape position on the wall using the supplied fittings or rested on its own retractable stand attached to the 9x6 frame.
