Nice sounding utility/surround/satellite speakers!
I bought this pair of Rockville RockSlim speakers to use for my PC video conferencing needs since my monitor did not have built-in speakers but did have a headphone jack to pass out the HDMI audio. I paired these speakers with a 10W/channel digital amp and the results are outstanding. Exceptionally clear audio that's well balanced. The plastic housing and metal grills of these speakers are very sturdy - I don't hear any resonances or buzzing - and attractive. Mounted to the wall these are slim enough to look like in-wall speakers. Sound-wise these are pretty efficient and do not need a lot of power to play loud, but do not produce deep bass, however that would never be realistic for something about 1" thick (perhaps Rockville may try a ported design in the future?), however these do play deep enough to still be enjoyable with music and with a bit of bass/treble adjustment they can actually be surprisingly good. Vocals sound very clear and natural. The slim 5.25 paper cone driver (with rubber surround) is an interesting design where the magnet seems to actually be the pole-piece so the whole assembly can be less than 1" thick. Tweeter is a mylar unit that is clear and never harsh. If using these for surround, 100-120Hz seems like a good crossover point but I would not push them much lower than that. My only nitpick is the included wires is extremely fine gauge and only about 1 mm is stripped (they are so thin that you're more likely to cut the wire than strip to bare more wire for the spring terminals). So, in the correct use context (monitor/TV speaker replacement, surround speakers, background audio), these make a solid choice and there really isn't anything comparable, especially in this price range.

Great Compromise L & R Mains for a simple Home Theatre
For the price and thin design, they sound pretty good. You’ll need a subwoofer to help these fill out, but as my L & R mains for my home theater, they work well. Super easy to install and disappear into the wall’s surface almost as well as an in-wall speaker, but at a quarter the price.

Incredible
These speakers sound great while using them as surround speakers. In addition they look great. As mentioned before, they don't provide tons of base, but I didn't expect them to do that. They are part of my 5.2.2 sound system so I get plenty of base from the sub woofer. These white speakers blend into the walls so you don't notice them but you can hear them. I know plenty of people that use the automatic setup via the microphone that comes with the receiver, but my advice is that you should setup your Home Theater system by measuring the location of your speakers and use the manufacturer crossover settings to get your best sound. I only had on Denon unit years ago get the sound system setup correctly about 15 years ago. My Yamaha, Sony, and Onkyo didn't get it right using the automatic setup.

Great Speakers for front / rear surround sound, clean flush look!
Love these things! i'm using as part of a 5.1 surround set up, 2 front 2 back with a sub and center channel, they sound and look great, alone they don't have much low end or volume, which was expected, but they sit real flush, clean appearance, and easy to mount. i'm not using the included cables as i had to go a longer distance, my only gripe is the speaker wire inlets, they're too small for larger gauge wire, i'm using 18ga and it took so long to get the wire in the openings, maybe if i soldered the tips it would have been easier, or bought crimp on plugs? Anyways, 1 star removed for the tiny tiny speaker inlet.

Decent for a low profile speaker
A temporary solution for me. Low profile and fairly easy to mount but only vertically. There is no provision to mount horizontal. The terminal clips on the back are cheap and small, didn't fit the larger gage wire I already had in place so a bit challenging. The wire slots on the back allowed me to flush mount but again with limited options for wire routing. Have some tape handy to hold the wires in the slot. I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet.

Big sound without big physical footprint
Great sound is present WITHOUT an obvious physical presence. My application is to provide sound on either side of my fireplace for the flat panel mounted about and amp hidden under the built-in cabinet. As you can see from my pic, it’s unobtrusive without detracting from decor.

Nice speakers
These flat speakers are great. The quality and sound are superb. So glad I bought. They don’t stock way out and blend into the wall. Thanks. Highly recommend.

A desperate solution
This have to be among the thinnest speakers ever. I mean that in both their physical shape but also their thin sound. Even total audio amateurs noticed immediately how bad they sounded. I'm sure there is a situation where only these speakers would work but you'd be best advised to try everything else first.

Love the look. I use them for rear speakers on the side walls and they dont stick out much. The speaker connection terminals are quite cheap and I had one fall off. Luckily I was able to put it back on. It's more of a 3.5 stars for me.

But what can you expect from such thin speakers. For any hint of bass, you'll need a separate sub-woofer. The rest of the range is so-so. Adequate for what I needed - thin wall mounts in this case. As per many other reviews.
