Great purchase
I got this to replace an existing spray booth. I have seen reviews that complain about this product - saying it wont remove smells completely - thats not what its designed for. I use it for airbrushing acrylic paint (Tamiya and Vallejo mostly) and lacquers (Tamiya and Gunze) with great success. I have mine venting into a bucket with filters - as I have no other options where I live. With the waterfall, there is little to no dust. Which is a great improvement. The fan does exactly what it should - pulls the paint dust out of the air and removes it from the paint area. There is still a smell but thats to be expected when using some types of paint. Cleaning is easy too - I replace the water once a month (and I use it almost daily), and I check to make sure the pump is clear of debris. The water filters at the bottom of the fall catch a lot of the paint dust - these are easy to take out and clean as well. Long story short the maintenance is not a horrible ordeal or process like some are making it out to be. Biggest challenge is the smooth laminar flow of water - which just needed some rain-x on the clear sheet, and some dish soap in the water to get things to smooth out. The noise without the fan is almost non existent - I left it running overnight once, without knowing. The fans on low, still pull air but not a ton, but make no real noise. On high you will hear them - but its not louder than the air compressor for the airbrush. In the end I am happy I picked this up, and ignored those who claim this was a "doom and gloom" not worth it product.

Buy this if you don't like painting
Only buy this if you want to do everything else but paint. Constantly something wrong and the cherry on top was trying to switch out the water in the tank and one of the clasps breaking in the back. The water tank spiled all over everything with smelly water. Such a hassle so much damage and so much stuff ruined with smelly water.

This spraybooth works great
This is a great hobby / small home business sprayer. The exhaust fan is not very strong but the water curtain makes up that. Make sure the machine is level or the water curtain wonโt work properly. Suggest using an additive to keep water from getting smelly. I did and so far no issues to report. All and all this is a great spray booth for the money especially with the water curtain included.

Avoid this product
The plastic piece that serves as the waterfall is too big. It simply can not be assembled in a way that lets the water flow as described.

Needs Work
"Revolutionary!", was my first reaction upon discovering this product, and found myself purchasing soon after, having moved into an apartment. Compared to my dual fan Tamiya, this does seem to do a somewhat better job on overspray, the water catches more of it, but can be overwhelmed depending on the size of the item being painted and the length of spray needed. I usually do 1/24 scale cars. The best feature compared to my Tamiya unit are the LEDs which light up the work area nicely. The reasons for my headline; -Could use a bit more air suction -Solvent is caught in the water, some method to contain this is necessary as the water tank is open in back and causes more fumes than necessary. I've been keeping the unit on for a time after use while covering the front with a covered back to help mitigate this. -I felt compelled to add a GFCI in case the submerged pump develops an internal leak. -Speed control when first turned on is at a very slow speed, one must jiggle the control when used to insure max speed. Turning it all the way to the other end is for low. -Switch labels should be silk screen as the molded symbols are hard to see. Ditto for the water level. -Paint dust does accumulate in the water, and is sucked into the water pump. Some sort of filtering would have been nice, especially if done in a way to help clean the unit's water. I think this is an OK unit but needs some development. If worse comes to worse, one can always trash the water and use it as a conventional unit. Oh yes, it is possible to get a full water curtain on the wall, just level and use your finger to help "wet" it.

Great Customer Service and Product!
Can this booth alone completely eliminate fumes? No, but it does do the job of pulling air through the sides of the clear water curtain while the waterfall feature catches the airbrush oversprayed paint. I coupled a 4 inch carbon air filter to the top exhaust of the water curtain spray booth, and it does help with most smells. I initially ruined the water curtain part it came with due to a project deadline, and the water was somehow parting in the middle of the water curtain. With OPHIR's customer service help, they helped me fix the waterflow issue I had and allowed me to purchase a water curtain part replacement. Now it's hard to tell that the water is flowing along the curtain, other than the sound of the pump. I love how easy it is to use now, how slim it fits on my workbench, and especially the led lights.

Good afternoon! The drip tray is cracked! Can you send me a new box for water? Also, the fasteners that hold the water curtain plate are broken! I don't want to surrender the whole item, I just need the tray or send a whole new paint box.
