I've bought these shelves before (different seller) and it was easy to return to them. They are basic but if you want functional, easy to assemble, nice looking shelves at a low price I highly recommend them. They seem quite flimsy when assembling but trust me they are solid as a full structure. The MDF wood shelves are a little thin but when weight is distributed evenly, are strong and solid.

I managed to assemble the shelves with help from my 1 year old in less than an hour probably could have done it in 30 mins if I didn't have the baby with me. Easy to assemble. Didn't need mallet. I used a normal hammer and a coaster to ensure I didn't mark the metal. Flat end screwdriver required . all fitted together very easily and will be sturdy enough for use in my shed to hold tool boxes on the bottom shelves and lighter items on the top. very pleased especially for the price

Good purchase, provides me with excellent storage options, sturdy material and easy to install and manoeuvre. Highly recommend when it’s on sale.

Bought three of these to add to some existing shelving from screwfix which was double the price, have to say these are just as good as the others, do not in anyway feel cheap or flimsy. Easy to put together, very pleased.

Bought 2 of these for the garage for all the things on the garage floor. They did the job so well, we ordered 1 more so have 3 in the garage now. Was able to also move all the items in the kitchen we rarely use and can grab them when needed. Freed up space in the kitchen so much! Took my husband about 30-40mins to put up each one, they were a bit fiddly with the support tabs but he said it was worth it.

I would give no stars if I could. I bought three of these over two orders to mix and match different heights whilst having maximum shelving options, except two different products arrived. One of them was also damaged, with two shelves being broken and unusable. They are incredibly flimsy and move considerably whenever an item is removed. There is also no way that they can hold their advertised weights. The instructions were easy to follow, however the parts do not easily fit together and will usually fall apart easily if just held upside down. This also meant that the shelves often didn't lie flat on the supports, causing them to come away easily. When I decided to return all three items, the only option Amazon provided me was for me to arrange and pay for the return shipping myself, which is against the law under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for faulty, damaged and unsatisfactory goods. It was incredibly hard to get this point across and in the end I had to compromise with Amazon contacting the 3rd party seller and having them send a prepaid envelope rather than Amazon sorting it, despite my contract being with Amazon, not the third party seller. This obviously isn't the first time Amazon has ignored UK law as they find many loopholes to avoid paying their corporation tax. I would highly advise not buying this product and buying a better and more expensive one from Screwfix instead. Unfortunately, often you get what you pay for and in this case, you certainly do not.

Original review I bought three sets of these shelves. They arrived quickly, with some damage from the courier (that unfortunately I didn't see at the time). I put them together this weekend. Assembly is pretty straightforward, but I would recommend having a hide face mallet, or some other sort of soft faced hammer to help with fitting. Once put together, they look ok (except the 2 shelves that had been damaged in the box by the courier). The problems started when I came to use them. Unless your floor is really smooth and flat, these have no ability to flex and stay strong. It's published as 175kg per shelf, but the mdf shelf simply disintegrated as I tried to slide a plastic storage box onto it (The box has various electric items in it and weighs perhaps 15-20kg). As the shelf disintegrated, so the metal support at the bottom also flexed and warped. I will try replacing the mdf with some additional wooden shelving... I think even minimal tongue and groove panelling will be better...and will see how well that works. But as a product to support weight and storage in a garage... I don't think this is anywhere near being able to do that, and I really regret buying it... I wish I had bought something more substantial, and certainly something with metal shelving Update to Review - 10 Jan So - having bought these units and put them together, and explained what had happened via the review above, I was contacted a few days later by the Seller. Now I am going to have to give credit where credit is due, and say that their customer service is extremely good. They have asked for pictures of the damaged shelves (which I sent them) along with some more details. They pointed out - in a non judgemental way - that if your garage or shed is damp then you'll benefit from treating the MDF shelves with a damp repelling paint / varnish and they also sent me 3 new shelves by Next day delivery (which have just arrived). So where I started from a position of 'don't touch them', I'm now 'OK, let's give it another go' - and that is purely down to the fabulous customer service. Well done on turning it around

These are exactly what I was after, and have turned my mess of a cupboard into an organised place for me to store my tools and materials. When the parts come out the box, they are flimsy and don't look like they will do the job, but once together they are sturdy and strong. There are many similar shelving units available on here, and some are cheaper, but I specifically went for two of these as the listing states the shelves are 5mm MDF compared to all the competition stating 4mm, but they are in fact 4mm, so it's misleading and hence knocking a star off. These are also listed as garage shelves, but if they are going in a garage or unheated outbuilding the MDF will get mouldy or damaged in no time at all due to the moisture and nature of MDF. If this is the environment for you, pop to Toolstation or get from Amazon a tin of Rustins MDF sealer and give them a quick paint and it will stop this.
