I bought these instead of my regular AmazonBasics rechargeable AA batteries that had some sort of form factor update a few years back that made them slightly larger. These POWEROWL are slightly smaller and resolved the issue with fitting into tight battery compartments. I also like that they have a matte finish, which makes them easier to remove than if they have a glossy finish. I have been using these POWEROWL rechargeable AA batteries for over a year now in various things such as an electronic door lock, video game controllers and automatic soap dispensers. I did not measure the performance but these batteries do not hold their charge very well, and I am constantly needing to recharge them. They lose their charge much faster than the AmazonBasics ones and Eneloop batteries as well. I had high hopes for these batteries based on reviews I read when making the decision to try a new brand but ended up being disappointed. Updated on August 11, 2023: The seller reached out when they discovered that I did not have a good experience with their product. They indicated that there was a 24-month warranty with the option of a full refund or replacement. I opted for the refund as I did not need any more batteries at the time. Its possible that I received a bad batch and with the warranty, I think it is worth a try.
