What is the tap thread size for adapter to 1/4" pipe? Is the tap thread 3/8" BSP or 7/16" UNS for which there seems to be more adapters available.

It is 7/16 you get adaptors with the tap to convert to 6 mm tube or you can get adaptors from John guest

Does this tap have to be fitted to a filter system

No. It is a good ceramic tap. You could use it in addition to a mixer tap to get cold water without having to run it to go cold.

I have a simple question - what is the measurement from worktop surface to bottom of spout (will I be able to get my kettle underneath) Thanks M

The gap under the spout on mine is 9 inches (23cm)but I have "unbent" the curve a bit to get our jug kettle under it.  If you do attempt to "unbend" your new one take care not to pull the stem out of the base.  It is not fastened in and has two 'O' rings which are a bit delicate.  A very good tap in all.Regards, Dave.

Hi I wondered, could you tell me if the neck swivels out of the way of the sink or is it in a permanent position?

yes it swivels around 360 degrees. however it does not overhang too much as the tap is described as "mini" and I don't ever need to need to move mine out of the way.
