How to stop cover from bunching up and swirling around with lower feathered wire?

Just try bending the wire down. Mine didn’t do that initially but I caught my cat bending the wire up while chewing/playing with the feather and it started to do that. I bent the wire back down and no more issues

Question 2

The piece where the feather toy connects to the base snapped immediately when I tried to put it in - how do I get a replacement?

I'm not sure ... I had issues with the cover / skirt  ... when it starting going around the top cover would get tangled around piece with the feather going around under it ... couldn't figure out what that elastic piece of the cover/skirt  was suppose to do ... I didn't put the butterfly back on and used a cover /skirt from another toy  ... I won't recommend or get another one of these toys.

Question 3

This is the 2nd one i've had and it will not recharge. am i missing something? once the original battery gives out it will not recharge

I was attempting to use my phone charger to charge it and it died, and then its replacement died and it would not recharge.  I replaced it.  New one had the same problem.  Then I used the 1A output charger from my cat fountain and it started charging.  Near as I can tell, my phone charger output is too strong and it can't charge from too strong a charger.  Have you tried a 1A charger?

Can my cat use this toy without the top part? It scares him

You can also take off the butterfly & attached something else to it also as it maybe that, that he is afraid of. I had 2 of these until my cat broke the one. But I switch the feathers & the butterfly around so it would be a little different. Works just fine. But you also could just take the top off all together or just take the butterfly off & leave the rest if you're afraid of the cover coming off.
