They were easy install and worked great at first. 8 months later and I came home to 3 rods snapped mid wash. Very disappointing. Expected much longer useful life. Update: Seller was very helpful and replaced these with the new upgraded ones for free. I appreciate their willingness to make it right and therefore have updated my review.

My Samsung WA50T5300AC/US would have the washing drum banging on the sides of the machine while spinning, didn't matter if it was at low speeds or high speeds. Which eventually would produce the Unbalanced load code. After a lot of searching the internet for fixes on this issue, I decided to try my hand at just changing the suspension rods myself. Which brought me to this item. Super easy to install. Plenty of easy videos to follow on YouTube. After installing these brand-new replacement rods into my washing machine, I was able to get one load of laundry to run totally through to the end of its cycle without getting an unbalanced error/code. The next day, my family did a couple loads of laundry, both ended up having the unbalanced code again. Even though they had the error code, I continued to look for possible issues/fixes. I did the calibrate mode, and then ran a load again. Still ended up with the banging washing drum, and error code. Flash forward about 6 months, I have had it with this Samsung washing machine and will never buy one again. But this machine is only 2 years old, so I had to try to fix it one last time before throwing it out. I bought a different set of suspension rods here on Amazon. Installed them, ran the calibration mode on the machine. Zero issues. The last two days we have ran about 10 loads through, no banging, no error codes. The drum appears to be completely stable. What I liked: Fast delivery; came overnight. Product appeared well made.. Pre-greased.. What I didn’t like: Rod top looks like bottom of worn out original Samsung rods. The curved end of the replacement rod that locks into the slots in the cap goes UP. It locks at the bottom of the washer on the original Samsung rods. I was very hesitant to buy this product or any replacement OEM because of the poor reviews. but then I got very tired of my washer, shaking violently and stopping in the middle of the spin cycle. It was taking me about three times longer to do my laundry than it should have. So finally, I decided to just try it. It took me about three hours to do the whole job. Anybody that says they can do it in half an hour is lying. Make sure to watch several YouTube videos beforehand. it is necessary to prop up the lid with a short 2 x 4 or it will fall down and potentially damage the wires. Also, there are wires you have to unclip and one of the suspension rods has a plastic tube wrapped around it. Anyway, after I finished, I had no power which was very concerning, but it was because a fitting came loose in the top of the lid. Once I plugged that back in the washer worked like it was brand new again. I have been doing a normal amount of laundry for the last two weeks with zero problems. don’t forget to recalibrate your washing machine when you are done. There are instructions all over the Internet. Just google how to recalibrate a Samsung washing machine.

Have a Samsung WA50R5200AW/US Washer (Uses DC97-16350U Suspension Rods) Washer was Banging Around at the Slightest Spin. Also when you pushed down in the center it bounced a lot. Loads took Forever. Had to Babysit from Rinse Spin and Final Spin. I had to ring out Laundry by Hand and then hand place back into washer for final spin. Washer only 3 Years Old bought Brand New. Bought these. Delivered a couple of days later and Installed Same Day. Also used White Lithium Grease on the Pink Plastic where it sits in the Brackets on the Machine Body and Drum for added security. Used a YouTube Video to Help Install. Highly Recommend Wearing Nitrile Gloves for the Loads of Grease on Old Rods and the slight Grease on New Rods. I went through 2 Pair. I had another person help by holding up the Top. Use Tape to keep door Close, especially if yours has a Glass Top. Took about 1 Hour From First Screw Removed to Last Screw Replaced. Don't forget to Unplug power before working. Didn't need to disconnect Water Hoses. Once it was all done, remember to Recalibrate Washer. So Far so Good. Works like it was Brand New. No More Bounce. Spins as it should. No more Unbalanced (UB/UL) on Screen. Looks like Better Construction than OEM Suspension Rods. Certainly Better in Price. From Samsung it's nearly $80 for one Rod. Why would someone buy one rod? It makes sense to replace all 4 at the same time.

If your washer gets suck in a cycle of rising and spinning for hours on end like mine did this is likely what you need. I was ready to replace the entire washer after one load had been going for 5 hours but after a little research I found out it was due to old worn out suspension rods (washer is 5 years old). Replacing these was very simple and resolved the problem I was having. Best tip I can give is wear gloves when replacing them. The original ones were caked in grease and the new ones had a light coating as well.

Our Samsung washer was stopping several times during each load and we had to readjust the clothes and restart it. Sometimes it took hours to finish a load. Sometimes we just wrung out the clothes and put them in the dryer. It was so infuriating! We replaced the rods with these AND IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!! These rods are much sturdier than the original ones. It was a little tricky switching out the back right rod because the hose was wrapped around it but we put it in without wrapping the hose and it works great! Tip: Take the back panel off when working on the back rods. So happy with the washer now!

EDIT: 9 months later and these have already worn out! Samsung should be sued to recall all these washers they are the most horrible appliance ever made! I don't blame the 3rd party suppliers of these rods I blame the horrible design by Samsung. Looks like I'm ordering another set again, smh... I'll start with our Samsung washer is barely 2 years old and I don't feel the suspension rods should have already worn out, so no more Samsung washers for us in the future. Now about the rods. There are a gazillion of these out there to choose from all different suppliers. It was hard to decide but finally went with a really high review rating and the "2023 upgraded" description. The first set I got were definitely used, box was cut open and had grease all over them. Thought I would try them anyway because maybe someone just bought the wrong size or something. They were horrible, didn't solve the unbalanced problem at all. Filed a return and got a replacement set that was definitely brand new thank goodness. Followed the description install instructions and watched several videos to be sure I was doing it right. This set was better but still not back to factory. Ordered a new different set from a different supplier but had to go out of town and couldn't install them right away. While I was out of town the family ran a few loads and the new 2nd set I installed all of sudden seemed to start working, no more unbalanced even on high loads. Maybe they needed to break in, I dont know. So I will be returning the 3rd set from a different supplier and hope this 2nd set continues to work. Such a weird experience overall. The rods are definitely easy to install and will save hundreds from an appliance repair person to do it yourself. Taking off 1 star only because I recieved a used set in the beginning.
