Shawburn Rustic 5 Drawer Chest of Smooth-Gliding Drawers and Safety Stop, White & Gray

I received these dressers today and was so excited to put it together. I was initially thinking of hiring someone to help me but decided to give it a go and I’m glad I did! I purchased the 6 drawer and 5 drawer dressers and they are perfect! The dressers came well packaged and super easy to assemble. I needed to take this to the bedroom on the 2nd floor so I unboxed it downstairs and carried the pieces upstairs little by little. The instructions are very easy to follow. I was most worried about assembling the drawer tracks and making sure the drawers are even but thank goodness the drawer tracks were already pre-installed! Very solid dresser and doesn’t feel unstable on my carpeted floor. I wouldn’t worry about it tipping over my kids even if the drawers were all pulled out. But of course, I anchored it to the wall for extra security. The anchor kit was easy to use as well. It took me about 2 hours to assemble the 6 drawer dresser and 1 hour to assemble the 5 drawer dresser since I have no helper. Very pleased with this purchase! Really good price for a great quality dressers! I highly recommend it!

2024 update: not even 2 years and I need a new dresser. Half the drawers have fell apart the metal tracks have fallen off. This is garbage. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money on this junk. I regret buying this. First this box is pretty heavy. Getting it and needing to return it makes it hard due to the weight of it. Two of the (6) wood pieces that connect the drawers are damaged. The instructions are not easy because they have no words just a picture. You don’t know what side faces what way because the instructions doesn’t say ANYTHING. I was trying to make it work in order to avoid having to return this heavy box now I am at the end of the process and the top of the dresser has the unfinished part facing the forward instead of backwards. Without the drawers in it feels cheap and Walmart quality. It is also pretty short. My entertainment center is taller than this thing. I definitely would not recommend this or buy it again. Updating not even 1 year later, it’s falling apart. The bars that slide the drawers in and out have fell off and have little bb looking balls in them and somehow will no longer stay on. The bottom of the dresser drawer does not align properly causing the drawer to cave in. The bottom front of the dresser will not allow the bottom right drawer to be pulled out without popping off. This dresser is garbage! I had a Walmart dresser that lasted 3x longer than this! I thought spending $200+ I would be getting a decent dresser and I WAS WRONG! If you love throwing money in the trash by all means by it, otherwise look for something else! I’m so mad I wasted so much money on this thing!

I purchased two of these Chest for a bedroom. Assembly is your typical China furniture style. I do not expect these to last more than 5 years without breaking. Mainly, the drawer bottoms blowing out. Only time will tell on that. Biggest complaint is the drawers only open half way which makes you jam large pieces of clothing into the opening. This is most likely how the drawer bottom blow out since it requires jamming clothing into the drawer on top of other clothes already in the drawer. Again, not the best the quality of furniture you can buy but this is to be expected when buying from Amazon.

It looked exactly liked the picture. It's perfect for a dorm size room. It's smaller enough for a kid size room. It's at tall as my 6yr old. And I got it for me and I'm 28. But I was going on a budget and I had my bedroom set for 13yrs so it was a milestone for me so I was still very happy I had gotten it. I wish they would make it in 6drawers high instead of 6drawers wide because I had gotten it for my husband so this bedroom set will last a little bit. We got the whole matching set. Two nightstands with it and the 8drawer one. They are short so beware of you are used to tall dressers like I am!! But still they are very beautiful! Very nice! If you are on a budget and want something good for yourself these a perfect. I've been looking at them for a few months and finally just went for it. I'm very happy I got them.

Arrived fast. Box arrived in good condition. Contents of the box were also in good condition. Parts were clearly marked. Instructions . . . were pictures. I put the first couple of pieces together incorrectly, but was able to backtrack without causing damage. Second guessed myself a couple of times, because it just didn’t look right imo, but in the end it did come together and looks gorgeous! My complaint would be the durability of the pieces. I believe the only piece of actual wood in this dresser would be the top and maybe that isn’t even real wood? Cheap, sometimes flimsy particle board, held together by cams/cam locks, plastic screws and tiny nails. And as many other reviewers mentioned, this dresser is small and short. I purchased this piece for my four year old daughter’s bedroom, so I’m happy with the size, but this would not be ideal for an adult’s dresser. In the end, I feel like what I really just spent $250+ on was a couple of pretty boho drawer fronts and some knobs.

I ordered the tall dresser for my teenage sons closet. When it came and it was in such a heavy, flat box, I was worried that I had bitten off more than I could chew as far as furniture building. Because of this, I left it in the box for almost a month. I got brave yesterday and opened the box and I was very happy. All of the pieces and directions were packed perfectly. I unpacked the pieces and spread out a queen sized sheet on the (garage) floor. Being able to spread out was the most helpful, because the first four steps basically have you do just that. The directions and pictures were easy to follow. I have put some furniture together before, and I was able to assemble this myself in about an hour and 15 minutes. The assembly system is very easy to use once you understand how the pieces line up. The directions say two people, but the only part you really need two people for is moving it when you are finished. I would buy more pieces from this line. I got this dresser for about 1/4 of what I would have paid in a furniture store.

Pros- It was delivered on time and places where I wanted for the extra fee. Cons- Not worth $174. One piece of particle board was broken upon opening box. I think this dresser is worth $80. It was difficult to put to together. Instructions could be written in better detail. One part was not labeled with a number to identify where to place.. Dressers are not put together with screws but with plastic screws you hammer and pegs on side that you have to gently apply pressure to attach to base if dresser. Overall would Not recommend. I would recommend an Ikea dresser before I would have a friend or family spend $174 on this dresser. The dresser is for my 4 year old and dresser will probably last til his 7yrs, Not kidding. Regret purchase. UPDATE 5/5/2022 THE 3rd drawer bottom broke amd sides cracked. I had to throw the entire dresser away. Sorry no picks. Originally I gave 2 stars because dresser was Not sturdy with plastic screws but drawers were ok , although the bottoms were movable. But 1 star now since the bottoms gave way and 3rd draw broke and unable to fix and close.

Dresser was easy to put together. Directions were pretty easy to follow. Measurements were accurate. The drawers were just the right depth. All of the pieces are labeled correctly. The drawers glide open and shut very smoothly

Easy to assemble and looks great

Some drawers stick out farther than others, gap at bottom on one side when there isnt one on the other and it's so tiny it's only useful for baby clothes and I'm too old for babies! Would give 0 stars if I could
