Am not a fan of any Chineese-made product, as their quality is commonly lacking. Nevertheless, after all the rave reviews about Wiim, decided to take the plunge and buy the Wiim Pro. In retrospect, I wish that I purchased the Pro+ in order to get the AKM 4493-based DAC, but (despite this) the Pro is simply awesome! Have had zero issues with the Pro's build quality, app, or operation. Setup was a breeze. Sound quality is perfect. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the built-in equalizer as the (thankfully bypassable) bass and treble adjustments on my simple integrated amp are not even close to properly sculpting the sound. I also love that (a) the app is so well conceived and executed, and FLAWLESSLY does everything that I ask of it, and (b) that AirPlay always works perfectly and is crystal clear. The Pro is worth every penny of its asking price and has become one of my all-time favorite audio products. You're gonna love it!

Great streaming device and good sales price. I was looking for device with airplay 2 capability which this has. I have this connected to Zone 2 of my theatre surround system and outdoor speakers. Can be connected wirelessly but I connected via Ethernet. You have the option to stream your music to Wiim via airplay or stream directly via Wiim Home app with a number of built-in music apps (subscriptions to apps required). The Wiim has features to enhance music such as balance, preset and custom Equalizer (which custom can be saved)) and RoomFit which used speaker sounds and my iPhone/iPad microphone to optimize the speakers sound based on my listening position (can be customized and saved for various listening positions). Note that this is only a streamer and not an amplifier. Thus best to connect to an amplifier/receiver or if prefer standalone then Wiim may have other products available. Also, the streamer can output digital music via coax and optical connections or analog via RCA connections. This streamer exceeded my expectations especially with connectivity, app, music management and quality of sound.

Updated: This dac can also upsample music to a maximum of 24 bit / 192khz per image when you go to settings, audio quality, and click on fixed resolution. Again, play around with turning this off and on as it can be helpful sometimes but may not always sound as good if the track has been mastered well, which is currently qualitative and there are no known quantitative ways to measure how well each track has been mastered. For example, some tidal cd quality tracks have been mastered so well they sound like 24 bit/192khz in a blind listening test! IMHO, upsampling to 24bit/192khz is the best upsampling method as using audirvana to upsample to DSD 11.2 can sound overly digital and sterile. Updated: While it’s a cool feature to have a room correction parameter eq I would play around with turning it on and off as I have found the parameter eq can make your music sound worse. Same with the graphic eq. Please find graphic eq settings attached for listening to rock and bass boost settings based off chatGPT. Again, sometimes the graphic eq can sound better and sometimes worse. Overall the wiim pro plus is a great streaming dac as it allows tidal connect which can stream 24 bit 192khz music (with tidal connect). AirPlay 2 is strictly limited to 48khz. The student version of tidal is affordable and is much better than apple music as apple music can’t stream as high as tidal connect. Updated: Was using this streaming dac for my outdoor Bose speakers, after weeks of use I enjoyed and loved everything about it but I recently connected it to my ELAC debut 2.0 home theater system to pilot it and am blown away by all of the detail and processing power this dac has!!! I didn’t notice the clarity and warmth while playing it outside but inside it’s a game changer. I know DACs can always be better with the more money you’re able to spend but this dac has it all!! Clean and Crisp sound, a bit on the warm side, tidal connect, room EQ, and the app works flawlessly!! I highly recommend this product and wish I could upgrade to the Ultra, although this dac checks off all the boxes and more! If you’re on the fence about the pro plus or the Ultra, I would save your money and go with the pro plus. How much better can it get🙂 This dac doesn’t come with the highest end dac chip but still sounds great for what I need it for! The app and remote is fantastic and performs flawlessly and I love how this supports Airplay 2!! This rare find is affordable and sounds great, you would have to spend a lot more money to notice a significant difference as the dac chip is good enough and up their with higher end AVRs. To me HEOS isn’t user friendly, even though my Denon AVR-X4500H has multiple zones to power my patio speakers my family hates HEOS. I bought the pro plus to use with airplay and stream music to my patio speakers. I have the RCA OUTS connected directly to my amplifier and it bypasses my entire Denon AVR. Love the ease of use. HEOS multi zone might be easy for me to figure out but my family wanted something easy to use and I wanted it to still sound good so the Wiim pro plus checks all the boxes. The Ultra is overkill for me and the Node is ridiculously expensive and comes with a finicky app. No thanks I'm good with this and highly recommend it. Got it for $185 on prime day **UPDATE** Just like the Ultra model the Pro Plus App now has room correction! In addition, Tidal connects with the astonishing Wiim app to play at higher resolutions than standard Airplay, 96khz for example. This streaming dac checks nearly every box!!

I connected with Ethernet and Optical to my DAC. I'm using the WIIM in a desktop set up. The sound is great. It was easy to set up and was working in a very short time. The only reason I did not give a five-star rating is because the PC app does not work very well. I couldn't load some of my services. That said, the PC app is still in Beta. I would and do recommend this streamer to anyone looking for an affordable means to stream music.

Buena calidad de manufactura, super intuitivo y funciona sin interrupciones. Lo tengo con conexión RCA a un sistema Onkyo en la Opción de "Pure Audio" que es dónde encuentro la mejor fidelidad para lo que brinda TIDAL. La app con el ecualizador paramétrico es estupenda.

Nice streamer. Included remote control is very nice as I don't want to use my smartphone for vol. control all the time. I'm running a tablet for this with different. apps like Internet radio, Spotify, Soundcloud etc. All well. In configuration can set individual sound profiles (Equalizer) and save them . However, I wish once you run Soundcloud for instance and then switch to Internet radio that my saved eq presets would follow. But they do not. This as Soundcloud is very bass heavy so my Soundcloud equipment setting would be too anemic when switching to another music app. Have to do always manually. Having that linked automatically would be really great. Otherwise very satisfied with quality of that streamer. Gets very regular updates. Kudos to the developer.

Bardzo dobry streamer. Jakość dźwięku świetna, łatwość instalacji i kompaktowe gabaryty to dodatkowy plus. Największym zaskoczeniem jednak jest dedykowana aplikacja, która działa perfekcyjnie i bardzo uprzyjemnia korzystanie ze sprzętu. Pilot również jest ok, można przypisać kilka przycisków do np. ulubionych stacji radiowych. Polecam niezdecydowanym 😎

I was looking for a Network streamer and did a bit of research on the internet and Youtube. After comparing the risk reward of each streamer, I finally bought one Wiim Pro Plus streamer. The initial sound from the Wiim Pro Plus connected to my Muzishare X7 integrated amp via a pair of Van Den Hul (The First) interconnect played through a pair of 92db Focal JMLab speakers was definitely better sounding than streaming via a Bluetooth receiver. Initially, even while I was streaming hi-res audio via Tidal, it sounded slightly flat and the sound stage felt a little compressed at the start. However, after watching a YouTube video on Best EQ settings by the cheapaudioman, I punch in the same setting he suggested and make some minor tweaks, and immediately the sound stage opened up, and the bass felt fuller. Now, I'm truly enjoying music that is streaming through the Wiim Pro Plus, playing Tidal via the Wiim home app. Be sure to fit this streamer with the best quality audio you can find, and it will definitely shine, it will not disappoint you. This is a highly recommended streamer at this price point for sure.
