The original buttons were a rubberized film which had worn off with age. These buttons appear to be light years ahead of the originals. However when I looked for instructions on installing them, the only info I could find were a handful of YouTube posts when I realized that this job was above my pay grade including pulling the steering wheel and temporarily deactivating the air bag. My mechanic told me that he wasn’t 100% sure about the job but is researching it.
