UHPPOTE Resettable Fire Emergency Door Release Hand Glass Break Exit Button

Excellent product. Does exactly what its supposed to. Has 2 options - normally open and normally closed output. Ive used the 9ne for the diie strike mechanism and the other when i can get a connector will be used as an alarm qhen the mcp has been activated. One buyer complained about it having a plastic 0anel instead of glass. This seems the norm now on MCPs and its a benefit as no glass to cut hands and quick reset with key

This door release is trivial to reset (with the key) because this model doesn't have a 'breakable glass' component. Pressing the white plastic screen allows the screen to slip down displaying a yellow strip at the top of the window visibly indicating it has been sprung. Internally it can be wired for a circuit to fail open or fail closed when the screen is pressed depending on your need. The included plastic key allows a section of the face-plate to be popped and then either pushed back up to reset the button, or to be slid off completely to allow access to the screws that hold the face-plate to the mounting back box (see pictures).

I received three of these and its advertised as having break glass but in actual fact there was no glass included just a piece of plastic where the break glass should be which was very disapointing. I had to remove the plastic and use some of my own break glass instead.

This works flawlessly for its primary function The reset is slightly clunky and that’s with someone used to using this type of device. That being said I will continue to purchase these.
