FOMITO Carry Bag for Aputure Amaran 100d, 100x, 200d, 200x LED Video Light

I didn't want to open and close a cardboard box everytime I used my Amaran and decided to search for a good carry case. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I found that someone made a bag that fits the styrofoam box the light came in! Such a cheap but amazing solution.

Good bag. Fits the Aputure 100 easily. You just take the protective packaging from the from the box and drop the whole thing in. (Shame on Aputure for not proving a carry case with the light :( Good for carrying around pretty safely and easily, but I wouldn't go tossing it around.

Fits like a glove

This bag is designed to hold a light, but honestly, since all it really does is go over the foam that already comes with the light, there’s not much that can go wrong. It fits as expected and does the basic job of protecting the light. That said, the bag itself feels pretty cheaply made. The materials and stitching don’t inspire a lot of confidence, and it doesn’t feel very durable. It gets the job done, but I wouldn’t trust it for heavy use or rough handling. Not only because of the bag but because all it does is hold packing foam. If you just need something simple to cover your light and aren’t too picky about quality, it works. I wouldnt stack anything on top of it or use it for any other lights. But if you want something that feels built to last, you might want to look elsewhere. Get a hard case from somewhere like harbor freight.

Read the reviews, figured at this low price point pretty low risk. I have several of the Aputure lights of the models listed. Yes, it's just a thin skin. You put the foam inserf from the original package into it. Takes a little bit of wrangling but not too frustrating. End result, nice. As I don't take these particular lights out on shoots but use them in the studio, I keep the cases on wire shelving. Looks so much better than the cardboard original packaging. They seem to be pretty sturdy, and I would take them out on a car road trip but not on the airlines. Very clever design. Great buy if you understand these are more just "carriers" for the original foam, and provide no protection other than dust or maybe light rain on their own.

My amaran 200x and box fit perfect in here. 10/10

Fits exactly as described. Not like super durable polyester/nylon you’d travel with, but I’m storing inside and not moving it around much so it’s the perfect protector for my use case.

Wasn’t as expected at all. Don’t believe the picture it arrives flat
