Gives such good support and is comfortable to use. However, suggest underpants {like shorts} would make the straps, between the legs, more comfortable, so they don't rub the skin.

Honestly it’s not the most comfortable thing to wear if you do manual work but it genuinely works amazingly. No pain from hernia wearing thing but it does rub a little if your moving round a lot. But that’s a small price for the pain relief I think.

This item is brilliant, can’t believe the difference it has made. I should have bought one sooner, you can adjust the pressure pads to the exact position to relieve the pain.

I bought this for my partner who is awaiting surgery on a Ingual hernia. Depending on the clothes he wears it can be very good, tracksuits and loose fittings clothes. However when he wants to be going out and wearing jeans he has said it can be quite uncomfortable.

Hernia pain was constant, and if I so much as wanted to cough, I had to hold my groin to prevent greater discomfort. From the moment I put on the belt, I felt more secure and the pain reduced. I can still feel the hernia, but it is much better when using the belt. I had recently dropped a waist size in trousers, but my jeans that had become one size too big have proved ideal for wearing over the belt. It's a good idea to rehearse toileting procedures at home before going out anywhere so that you are aware of any snags when negotiating the belt and straps, but I would certainly recommend this product if you are troubled by hernia(s).

When the support arrived I was a bit put off by the fact that the box containing the it was covered in sellotape giving the impression that it was a "return"!. However the support itself was new and sealed so I gave it a go. Absolutely delighted with it. I wore to a family party and was able to dance without any discomfort and now I wear it nearly everyday, particularly if I am walking or doing DIY etc. The support is very comfortable to wear and at times I barely know it's there! Recommended!

I have a small (currently) inguinal hernia. I also have to stand for long periods in my job. This really helps with the discomfort that causes. I agree with others that the size is large so consider a size lower than you think you need. The pads supplied with it are like goose eggs and having them in your trousers is not a good look. Unless you want everyone to think you are permanently glad to see you ;) I found packing a couple folded socks or cloth works ok and because hernia is not so severe usually just use it without the inserts. Definitely a great help. Will probably get a second one or try another model. If you are feeling discomfort and are wondering if a truss will help the answer is a resounding yes.

This was pretty useful for me. Well made, and you can adjust it in many ways to get the right support.

Abdominal support

The quality of the belt and Velcro in particular- both excellent. When I first opened the package, I thought the hernia pads were freakishly large but they are location adjustable and properly sized to keep the protrusions in place. A great design feature is how the straps that apply pressure to the hernia pads are affixed to the back of the belt with an adjustable loop (adjustable for location on the back of the belt). Other units use Velcro front and back and they fall off the back way too easily. I wear a 32 pant and the medium is perfect. No real negatives. Comfortable and effective. And stops me from becoming Yaphit from “The Orville”
