NOW Foods Supplements, Female Balance™ with Wild Yam, Vitex, Dong Quai, GLA, Vitamin B-6 and Folate, 90 Capsules

I was very skeptical of this but I have noticed a huge improvement in my cycle and how I feel. I took birth control on and off for over a decade, had 2 kids, went on accutane and entered into my 30s. I was having terrible headaches around my cycle, constant cramping leading up to and for the duration of my period, horrid cystic acne, significant hair loss and spotting for 1 to 2 weeks before my period. I started this balance medication and am about to be on my second cycle on it and I feel so much better. My headaches, if I even have them, are so much more manageable, my hair loss has been cut in half if not less and no more spotting! I still cramp a little but nothing crazy. I was worried this would cause me to break out with cysts like before I went on accutane but I have had maybe 3 tiny whiteheads nothing more! I was also napping like every other day because I was so exhausted but I haven’t taken a nap since I started this medicine! I’m not sure how exactly but it truly works! I will be reordering for the foreseeable future.

I know everyone is different, so results will vary. But, I can say that they do help with my PMS. I get all sorts of symptoms that are wildly similar to early pregnancy symptoms (ugh!). I couldn't take it anymore!! So, after doing some research, and wanting a reputable company, I went with these. I take one a day for two weeks prior to my period. Do the symptoms disappear entirely? No, but I'm pleased with the results. Will be buying again.

A little background: I was on birth control from a young age because of irregular periods and cysts. From then on, I had very regular and light periods with literally no symptoms otherwise (never experienced a cramp, migraine, etc). In college, I had an ovary removed because of a benign tumor, but I continued to have regular monthly periods. I stopped taking the pill in my early 20s, and shortly thereafter started having kids. I am now 37, with 4 kids, and in the past few months, things changed. Although cramping still hasn't occurred, I started bleeding very heavily, getting migraines and being nauseous, and was a train wreck emotionally. Two years ago I took an Everlywell test and it said my estrogen was really high and my progesterone was really low. My obgyn said the symptoms are likely the start of perimenopause that could last the next 7-10 years and gave me lots of hormonal medications as options to research and get back to her. But I decided to try a more natural route first and this was my first pick. It's only month one but I did take it as instructed with meals, 3x a day (sometimes I'd forget one of the 3), and I stopped when I got my period as instructed. I had a slight headache the day before my period but that's it (and usually it's much worse than a slight headache). The bleeding was much lighter, it only lasted 4 days (and 2 of those days it was quite light), and no emotional train wreck. I have had no side effects other than my period came 3 days later than expected. Highly recommend giving this a try if you want to balance hormones a bit more naturally. It may not work for everyone but so far it has been so helpful for me and I feel much better about this than putting artificial hormones into my body.

I've had perimenopause issues and this helped with the hot flashes. I'm glad I bought it.

Everyone's bodies are different. You may have success with this, but I didn't. I promise, I tried ruling out every single possibility of other things to cause my issues before writing this review. Previous to purchasing these, I kept getting ads on Instagram for a similar product and did research so I decided to try this (cheaper and easier to order from Amazon). Based on other reviews, I was very hopeful this would relieve a lot of my hormonal based issues including my endometriosis related ones. Unfortunately after 3 weeks of use I had to discontinue. I was having some pretty severe GI type issues (I won't go into graphic deal) that have forced me to discontinue. Even with my endometriosis symptoms I deal with, I would rather go through that then send my body into the tailspin this supplement did. My skin has also gotten worse, unsure if that is because of this supplement or not but I am going to assume so based on the timing of other issues. I really wanted to love this :( I have no complaints regarding packaging, the product itself or anything like that - just its effects on my body.

Ok. This about to get real. About a year and a half ago I started taking this Brand‘s menopause support. I took them for a couple of months and It worked great for my perimenopausal symptoms. Hot flashes, night sweats, achy joints etc., but became unavailable so I started using female balance. Somewhere in here I noticed a drastic increase in my libido which was absolutely amazing! Menopause Support became available again so I went back to it for about five months. I noticed a decrease in my libido shortly after. About a week ago I started using the female balance again and boom! Return of the libido on crack! If you are having issues with low libido I highly recommend this product! This product also helps with my perimenopausal symptoms. From a mother and a woman of a certain age, this has truly rejuvenated mine and my husband’s romantic life!
