Ethique Wonderbar Solid Hair Conditioner Bar for Oily to Normal Hair (120 Uses) Vegan, Compostable, Biodegradable, Plant based

I have tried a few conditioner bars and this is the best so far. With the others I have struggled to get it to feel like it's putting anything on my hair whereas this does feel like it's going on and my hair feels great afterwards. Will try the shampoo when my supply of Nope runs out.

I just love this brand although I understand it has now been rebranded and is not so easily found in shops. Easy to use but keep in dish or container to keep it dry between use. Leaves lovely shine on hair and keeps it manageable. Nice smell. Lasts for ages if well kept. Great for travelling and best of all, no plastic!

I love the idea of shampoo bars. This product has a lovely scent and lathers up well, but I can never seem to wash the product out thoroughly, so it leaves my hair feeling sticky and heavy. I think this is more to do with my hair type than the product itself, so I've given it 3 stars to be fair and honest.

Practical, lightweight, great for travel and kind to my hair. Just brilliant!

I will start by saying there was a mix up with my order and it wasn't confirmed. I contacted the seller and they got back to me right away and put my order in. They expedited my order and I received it before the original receive date. The conditioner bar works great. It doesn't leave any kind of waxy residue on my hair. It left my hair really soft. And with the winter weather it works well enough that my hair isn't staticky. Overall it is a really good conditioner bar. I gave 5 stars because the customer service was great and the product is really good. Mix ups can happen and they did a wonderful job getting my purchase to me.

I was excited about trying the Ethique shampoo bar, but will admit I was doubtful about the conditioner bar. My hair can be very difficult. People who look at it think it is thick, but the hairs themselves are extremely fine -- I just have a LOT. And it's curly. It tangles so easily, so much that I can only attempt to untangle it in the shower with loads of creamy conditioner, a comb, and patience. I go through a big bottle of conditioner easily 5 times as quickly as my friends with straight hair. So I had many misgivings about the conditioner bar, mainly that it would actually work, as the feel of running a bar through your hair a few times is very different from pumping it full of cream. Well, I can say I have been using it about twice a week (I wash my hair every three or four days) for two months now and I am really happy with the results. To be honest, my hair is not miraculously different than when I used traditional bottled conditioner. That being said, I have experimented with so many conditioners -- from expensive salon ones to cheap dollar store ones. They all seem to leave my hair about the same. If anything, my hair is slightly softer and shinier, which to me is wonderful! Wonderbar smells nice but not overpowering, it is eco-friendly, it detangles and leaves your hair feeling conditioned but not oily, it doesn't crumble, and it lasts way longer than you think it will. It may seem pricey, but I paid $34 total for the shampoo and conditioner bar and judging from their current state, I will get about 6 months use out of them. I love their shampoo bar as well...it is so nice to find a company selling beauty products with pronounceable ingredients and eco-friendly packaging. I will definitely be trying their other products. Imagine how much we could reduce our plastic consumption with no more shampoo, conditioner, and soap bottles!

Let me start with I didn’t know what to expect. A couple years ago I tried the whole solid hair care thing (before it was seen on buzz feed or in drugstores) and the experience with the small batch artisanal hippie products was traumatic. As in never going to do that again trauma. In the last year or so though I couldn’t help but notice it has become much more mainstream. I also have long fine hair that’s SUPER prone to tangling with an oily scalp. A gentle breeze, an errant hair tie, the simple act of looking or thinking about my hair will cause it to tangle and knot. But I figured conditioner would be a safe thing to try and dip a toe in the water of plastic reduction. There is a bit of a learning curve. I can’t stress enough it does take a few uses to soften up the bar a bit to where it’s easy to use and yes you gotta work the bar into your hair. Also do store it in a container, otherwise it will not last. If you are turned off by the cost of the branded container, I’ve been using a soap container from a toiletry travel kit and it works great. All that in mind, this smells great! It’s pretty easy to use! It’s overall a really nice product that when stored properly will last a good chunk of time. My hair is a bit more tangled than I would like when I go to comb it out after my shower, but once dry the hair is very soft and clean. My thought is I might need a slightly more moisturizing one when I next purchase, perhaps for the winter months. But I absolutely would buy again and it’s a great choice if you want to go solid.

I searched for a long time to find a plastic-free conditioner bar that I thought would work for my hair. After trying the Sampler Pack fro Ethique, I purchased the Wonderbar because I loved it so much. While using the bar in the shower, it feels like it isn't really working. I use it on my hair when it's dripping wet, and run the bar all over my hair from the roots to the tips. I then leave it on for a minute or two before rinsing it off. At that point, I can run my fingers through it and feel that the conditioner is working. It leaves my hair soft and shiny, and I find that I can go longer between washes then I can using bottled shampoo, even sulfate-free brands! Being in Canada, my one complaint and reason why I probably won't keep buying this brand is that it is shipped from New Zealand. I wish it was made locally because I love it so much!

I was skeptical about trying a conditioner bar... I'm so glad I did! I have fine, curly, and frizz prone hair, I cannot get over the results from just one use. It did not make my hair greasy at all, but just made it feel incredibly soft and got rid of my frizz. Best conditioner I've ever used!
