Great little SBC
Nice little device, love the eMMC memory, the USB-C power, external WiFi, etc. Depending on your needs this can be a really nice RPi alternative, especially since RPi's can't be found at any sort of reasonable price or qty in the last year or two. My unit has been stable and pretty much as expected. I thought I received a dead unit at first, but found my HDMI was not fully plugged in, it took some extra effort to get it seated all the way, this may be what some of the "Do not buy" reviews saying DOA are all about. There's another one star review complaining about trying to run Linux apps --- the unit comes pre-loaded with Android, of course it's not going to run Linux apps. I've been running Debian Bullseye on mine and it behaves as expected. I've been running .net 7 apps compiled for ARM64 on it 24/7 with no issues at all & it seems quite stable. CPU hovers around 50C with small load and jumps to 70C with heavier loads with no fan or heatsink.

Solar Assistant
Easily flashed a microSD card with Solar Assistant to integrate my SOK battery bank with Home Assistant. The Orange Pi 3 LTS was Solar Assistant's recommendation and it has been working fine using power from the batteries through a 48v to 5v usb buck converter. The Orange Pi was available and much cheaper than an equivalent Raspberry Pi.

VERY good raspberry pi alternative - no gpio though
the gpio pins aren't the same as the raspberry pi's, as there is less pins, so don't use pihats on this for kali linux/armbian, it's a great portable linux box that can be used for anything personally, i use it for dnsmasq/vpn when not in use, and as a kali linux box when i go somewhere very good antenna and wifi capabilities, and ethernet is decent does get a lil hot though, maybe buy the heatsink version/buy a mini heatsink with it
