The desk is great. But I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to talk about the packaging. A week after receiving the shipment, assemlbing the desk (which I am very pleased with all around), and using it every day since, I still can't stop thinking about how amazing the packaging was. Remember those cannisters from the movie The Rock that were filled with the highly toxic and very fragile green balls of death? If for some reason I had to ship one of those things, I would be contacting ErGear to figure out how to do it. I have experience in engineering, and I work in manufacturing - and I can undoubtedly say that this packaging was designed by a team of packaging engineers. Every cubic inch of space in the box was used to its utmost potential. When you first receive the box, you notice that the outside corners are reinforced to protect from shipping damage. Upon opening the box, you'll notice that each component is enshrouded in custom cut sheets of soft shock absorbing foam. Nothing moves around, and everything is extremely well protected. When you pull out the pieces to the desk top itself - which appear to be a veneered pressboard (and I expected that, but these appear to be great quality) - not only are they secured tightly together and separated with more foam sheets to prevent scratching, the corners of the wood pieces are further reinforced with protectors. But these protective corners aren't just some cheap corrugated cardboard corners that really only serve to give you a little extra peace of mind - oh no - they are 1/8" ribbed rubber! They are so nice, that I couldn't bring myself to throw them away. I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but they could be repurposed for so many other things. I also saved a single corrugated sheet of cardboard that was used as a spacer/protector because it's so high quality. That one piece of cardboard alone cost over $1 - which is a lot in the manufacturing world. All the other packaging components appear to be readily recycblable as well. When you consider the price point of this desk, and you take into account that the packaging alone costs the manufacturer probably around $15, the value for this purchase becomes even more impressive, particularly given that what you received arrives as if it was fresh off the assembling line (so to speak). A few folks have left negative reviews here and there about certain components arriving damaged. Look, nothing is perfect, even with this level of packaging. It's the nature of the beast when you're getting single items shipped directly to your door. It'll happen from time to time, and I'm sorry you drew the short straw. Not having been in touch with ErGear myself, I nonetheless have no doubt in my mind that they happily replaced your purchase with a new one - no one goes through this amount of effort to ensure you receive a pristine shipment, only to turn around with subpar customer service and deny you support. It is very clear that ErGear WANTS you to be happy. And for my part, I very much am. Back to the desk. The assembly instructions are excellent. IKEA can certainly learn a thing or two from whoever put this together. The asembly itself was simple and, dare I say it, even a little fun. Again, the engineer in me also appreciates the thoughtfullness of design choices when it comes to how each component is assembled. They really did an excellent job here. The manufacturing of each component was also done with some impressively tight tolerances (given the price point), and so everything lines up perfectly and fits like a glove. Fully assembled, the desk is wonderful. I love this thing. It's everything that was advertised and more. They've even given thought to cable management. The desk raises and lowers smoothly and quietly, and I have no doubt that I will be enjoying it for years to come. A few last comments about some other negative reviews. You broke your keyboard tray? That's... kinda your fault. The desk wobbles *very* slightly when it's raised all the way up? This is standard stuff when it comes to knowing what you're getting yourself into. Buyer beware and all that. I paid under $200 for a desk that FAR exceeded my expectations. It's not a 250 lb behemoth made of solid oak that will last me a lifetime. Know what you're getting yourself into, and treat it accordingly. If you use the desk as a normal desk and don't *misuse* it, you will be very satisfied with your purchase. Highly recommended. Bravo ErGear. You have made a new raving fan out of me.

Good price. Easy assembly. Good instructions. Works as designed within the parameters given. Durability yet to be tested. Looks nice. I ordered the largest and find it adequate. Tray design can support weight but is not designed to be rested on which might account for less stellar reviews. For me, the keyboard tray is a must and needs to have space for the mouse pad and this checks both boxes fitting my needs perfectly. The height adjustment may not be fully tested as it is necessary to find that perfectly comfortable position. I did read many reviews and found others mentioning issues with customer support. Customer support for me was exceptional. The desk surface was cracked in transit. I did a video opening the box as it appeared to have bent. I contacted the seller, sent the video and was treated with prompt and courteous comments resulting in the part being promptly replaced. Thank you

I purchased this desk back in September 2025, so a sufficient amount of time has passed to write an honest review. Love this desk! My workspace is a bit limited, so I needed a desk that was a bit smaller than the standard/normal desks, which was actually pretty hard to find. Luckily I found this desk on Amazon. Assembly was pretty easy- parts are all numbered and smaller hardware is all in bags and numbered/lettered. I was surprised by the quality, which is actually pretty good considering the low price. Desk is sturdy, and I have not had any issues with the motor so far - desk goes up and down with no problems. Just be sure you have a long enough cable for the monitor to plug into the power strip as the desk raises pretty high. Also love the pull out tray for the keyboard - also a little harder to find. Plenty of space for a keyboard and mouse pad. I included a couple of photos that show the length and width of the desktop when assembled. I would recommend this desk to anyone with a limited workspace that's looking for a standup desk. Great product!

I purchased this desk for a home office desk that allows me to sit or stand. This desk is very adjustable from a height perspective. The model I purchased was 55" X 28". As you can see from one of my pictures it has plenty of room for 2 monitors, a docking station, a laptop, and has plenty of extra room for note taking. The desk is spacious and the motor isn't very loud at all. I like that. The desk is a bit wobbly at the highest level but that is to be expected. I don't notice it wobbling when I type only when I'm leaning on it or writing. Most of the time I'm typing so it's no issue for me. Putting the desk together wasn't bad. It had all the parts and the instructions were pretty good. I did have two issues I wanted to make note of to potentially help others. In constructing the keyboard tray the slider was installed backwards on one side of the tray. As you can see in the picture the metal stop should be on the outside of the tray. Mine came reversed. I saw this and had to take it off and turn it 180 degrees then it worked just fine. I imagine this could be confusing to some. Also when putting the desk together it tells you to level the desk by installing the transmission rod and turning it to get both legs to be the same height. if you don't leave the transmission rod in, and secure it after they are the same height the leg will go down again. I was taking out the transmission rod thinking it would maintain it's height. I did use a tape measure as they suggested, but I found using a level actually worked better and enabled me to get it the same height and be level. Just adjust the height and then connect the transmission rod to the right leg and you should be fine. The only other thing I would say about assembly is they say you can use a screwdriver or a drill. If you are going to use a drill make sure you have tension control. This is pressboard with pre-drilled holes. If you use a power drill without tension control you will probably strip out the wood. There are a few places where it's too tight to use a drill unless you have a bit extender. Overall assembly wasn't bad. I've only had this item a week. I will update this review once I've used it longer. Pros - light, good value for the money, stable, great adjustability, nice surface area. quiet. Cons - pressboard is kind of cheap, you have to be careful when constructing the item, some items came assembled incorrectly, a little wobbly at max height.

I was pleasantly surprised by this ErGear electric standing desk. For the price, it delivers exactly what I needed: a sturdy, functional, and clean-looking workstation without feeling cheap. The desk feels solid once assembled, raises and lowers smoothly, and gives me enough space for my monitor, laptop, keyboard, and daily work essentials. What I appreciate most is that it gives you the benefits of a standing desk without the premium price tag. It is practical, dependable, and looks good in a home office setup. If you need an economical standing desk that feels strong and gets the job done, this is a great buy. Overall: budget priced, sturdy, useful, and absolutely worth it.

12/2024 update: I have now been using it for almost a year. Still raise it at least once every time I use it (still working from home a minimum of 3 days each week). Desk still raises and lowers with no issues <knocking on wood again>. Update: I have now been using this desk for a few months and am still very happy with it! I work from home 3 days a week (or more occasionally) and raise and lower it AT LEAST once a day, but many times it's more often. No issues at all so far <knock on wood>. I bought this as a Christmas present for myself because I get antsy sitting for long periods. I found the instructions to be easy to follow between the diagrams and words (just words and I get lost easily. I need the pictures/diagrams, too). It has you assemble it upside down, and I had no problem flipping it over and moving it to where I wanted it on my own. The motor (or mechanism to raise/lower it...whatever it is called) has worked well the number of times I've adjusted the height so far. It is quiet and smooth. I like that you can save different heights and just push a button to move it accordingly. I also like the way it looks. It is fairly sturdy. A little wobbly if you lean on it too much when it is raised, but that makes sense. The only thing that kind of (very miniscule kind of) wish it had is a way to lock the keyboard tray open. I sometimes find it sliding back closed when I am typing (guess I need to type with less gusto. Lol). But, that being said, it does stay in whatever position you put it in and doesn't slide open or closed on it's own. Overall I am very happy with this desk!! Pic included, but don't mind the mess of wires behind it. I still need to tidy that up. :)

I really like this desk! It’s super easy to set up. Easy to lower or heighten. Good quality for the price. Is it the best desk ever made? No. But for the price, it’s amazing. I have a huge monitor on it and it fits with no problem.

I have been trying to find a desk to work with my recliner and found this one. It seems ok. The Good: - It goes up and down smoothly and quietly - It's pretty big, you could put two monitors on it if needed - Despite the pieces not having labels on them this fat, old, lazy woman was able to put it together in about 1 1/2 hours. I struggle getting up and down off the floor so takes me longer to do things. - The Legs definitely seem pretty sturdy. - They keyboard tray slides in and out smoothly - I feel pretty comfortable sliding this around my room. I will be putting felt pads on the feet to make it slide easier on my floor, but I feel comfortable it won't fall apart when moving around. - Shipping was faster than expected. The things that annoyed me but maybe no one else but why I rated 4 stars - The top is two pieces put together and I don't really like that and I worry about the longevity strength, but they says it's rated for 176lbs I think so we shall see. - The keyboard tray width is ok, but the space from top to bottom of keyboard is not deep enough for my keyboard - The top seems to scratch easier than expected. Me putting it together on floor and moving it around it got some scratches, but not a big deal. Also note when putting the top two pieces together do not use a hammer to push them together it will damage the edge.

What can I say?! It’s well packaged. You have to give it to those who made it. As someone who’s worked in construction and understands what goes into fabrication and putting stuffs like this together, I can tell you that this was well made. Exactly what I needed and it works perfectly for me. It looks great, works perfectly. Instruction manual helps to set it up. Took roughly 30 minutes with only me setting it up. The height adjustment was easy to programme and works very well. Low noise as it moves up and down. Ensured there’s enough cable so nothing is pulled off the table. I’m keeping part of the packaging as they’re very useful. This is a product well made and I recommend this without hesitation. NB: kindly ignore my cable management. I’m rearranging my workstation.

Excellente table, très beau rendu. Rien a redire sur l'épaisseur, je ne suis pas censé assoir mes 107 Kg dessus. La motorisation fonctionne bien et je m'en sers presque tous les jours. Aucune faiblesse. La longueur est largement suffisante pour y loger des enceintes de bibliothèque. Le montage a été assez violent car il faut un tournevis cruciforme bien taillé et une main bien ferme pour loger les vis dans l'agglo bien serré. La tablette coulissante plus large que les autres modèles et donc rare, est exactement ce qu'il me fallait, je peux loger un grand clavier à côté de la souris qui a de la place. C'est cette spécificité que je cherchais. Ca coulisse bien et est très stable. Produit recommandé.
