I bought these to use as platforms for my 3 chonky male rats to get around the cage easier. When attached to the bars, they are incredibly sturdy and do not jiggle or buckle under the weight of even multiple rats. They love bouncing off them and using them as perches to look out of the cage bars! I am unsure how long they will last if they become a favored peeing spot, but the fact you can buy refills make them very cost-effective, and a good alternative if you find the usual lava ledges a bit too expensive. I would recommend!

Have two cages, both have some of these shelfs, both cage members love them and use them. It's simple but it ticks all the boxes. You might think these are expensive for what they are but they beat regular wood shelving by a mile. Get one and try it yourself if you're in doubt.

These are great for older rats suffering with hind leg degeneration - they are nice and grippy and make good steps to help them get around the cage. From the image I thought they were made of bamboo but they are tough little cardboard tubes, very sturdy but will have a finite lifespan and can only wipe clean.

These really are a good product for the right animals, my rats just urinated all over them but I can't be too harsh on the review as that's not the fault of the supplier. The just don't absorb urine well.

My two rats love these! They've lasted ages and are really sturdy. Yes, they did get a but whiffy due to rat widdle, but I solved this by giving them a light spray with antibacterial spray (the pet friendly stuff) and rat/ferret deodoriser once a week.

These are bigger than I expected and very study, they fix well to the walls of a cage and allow you to be creative in making fun and useful platforms for your pets (in my case rats). There was a lot of unused space in my large cage, so these making new accessible paths between levels, jumping platforms, and look-out stations. Also good for hiding food on to keep them amused and occupied.

These are great. My roborovski hamsters love climbing onto these shelves. Before I had a plastic shelf would was a faff to take out and clean. Now I just take the whole wire cage section off. Get rid of the mess in the tray and top section clips back on as the shelves are all permanently attached to the wire. Will definitely be buying the replacement covers for these fab shelves. Not too big either. Just right. Hamsters very happy.

The product is only the shelves themselves, the description and pictures are misleading as I was under the impression they came with the metal attachments. Just be aware of the fact that they are the shelves only and you’ll need to find some way of attaching them yourself.
