HTC VIVE Facial Tracker for Focus Series Virtual Reality Headsets

Works as described, but takes some time to set up correctly.

It only good for VRChat but it tracks your whole face and expression

For those that have a vive focus 3 this is a fun addition, for those that don't, know that this could be used with Project Babble to give 3rd party headsets lower face tracking. The only issue is with this method (and seemingly normal operation) is there is no illumination control.

Couldn't get it to work, but that's a skill issue. Was expecting it to be plug and play.

Amazing piece of hardware, tracks my facial expressions very well compared to all the other headsets I've ever owned. Honestly, I'm impressed.

Works great, though I had to kinda find the right angle and give it a bit of a push but works great with Focus Vision

Facial tracker did okay at picking up emotions but would need constantly recalibrated depending on different lighting if your lighting wasn't perfect it became an issue.

このフェイシャルトラッカーと組み合わせたFocus visionが原因不明の不調をきたし、サポートに修理を求めても解決することができなかったので、Focus visionの使用を中止することになりました。悲しいですが私の環境では使い物になりません。 まず、vive pro eyeからの乗り換えで、Focus visionと共にフルトラを目的として購入しました。利用環境はPC接続、ワイヤレス環境でのVRCHAT のみの使用です。 次に、具体的な症状ですが、Focus vision起動から約1時間経過後に口の動きが停止する症状です。ほぼ毎日発生していましたが、時々発生しない日もあります。 HMD側のアプリの再起動により回復しますが、数十分で再発する場合があることと、都度アプリを終了せねばならず、我慢ができなくてサポートに相談しました。 すると、大量の確認項目が送られてきて、その検証に何十時間と時間を削がれました。 接続されたPCのOSのクリーンインストール、メモリやグラボも買い直しました。症状が発生するタイミングを詳細に連絡してほしいとも言われましたので、録画していた映像を遡り具体的に示しました。 そして、やっと受け付けたと思って送ると、今度はフェイシャルトラッカーが荷物に入っていないとhtcから連絡が来て大変困惑しました。 今だから言えるのですが、運送会社に問い合わせたところ、荷物が無いと先方から連絡が来た場合、証拠を残さないと泣き寝入りすることになるそうです。 後から見つかったとのお詫びのメールが来ましたが、私には強い不信感が残りました。 結果は予想通り、「異常無し」と連絡が来たのですが、ここに来るまで相当に時間を失い、もはや時間の無駄と判断したので、使用を中止することになりました。 私がFocus visionとこのフェイシャルトラッカーを購入して得たものは、メーカーを信用してはいけないことと、新製品を安易に買うと後悔することがあるという教訓です。悲しくて仕方がありません。

Really fast shipping/delivery this product came in the next day of ordering. Upon purchase it stated the product was supposed to arrive with in the next week on a Tuesday. I am really satisfied with that. Just wanted to give a heads up to people that have this headset vive focus vision. I have Been reading some of the feedback and some people are saying the face tracker is not working properly. The face tracker would work more efficiently on the vision, plus streamer kit attached because there is more power. Common sense theory here: The focus 3 you are only using a small battery that needs to power the headset plus heavy applications if your running vrchat. It is very power hungry then the battery has to have enough power to manage the face tracker efficiently. From just thinking about it the battery is not that powerful to work as a stand alone with face tracking. That is why the majority of people that have the vision don’t have any problems with the streaming kit. Using FT on Vrchat: In order to use FT on vrchat you need this application on steam called VRCFacetracking (it’s free) and look for vivestreamingfacetracking And install it and make sure the toggle tracking on the right is blue. Go into vrchat and make sure OsC is flicked on. If it is ur first time turning it on you might have to re start your vrchat application. Other than that in order to use FT on vrchat you need to open vivestreamingFaceTracking first then open vrchat. YOUR WELCOME!
