... because I planned to be using this item to "create" more compost. I was excited. So after stuffing it with green and brown stuff (after I'd put in an acceptable place in the garden), it was way, way too heavy for me to churn - I need to call for help with this task - and the one I am using now leaks the compost "soup" from the bottom door's Velcro closure. I think that this batch might take a while. This is my only disappointment. On the other hand, the bags are very sturdy, well made, good fabric. I think they would work better for my purposes if I use them to collect brown stuff (I am using the second bag for this), yard trash, maybe to store long-handled tools over winter, maybe to grow potatoes. Very useful, I think. So I am only slightly disappointed. But not with the product - I most certainly would consider buying these bags again.

I really like these compost bags. They work as stated. I ordered two more to empty my raised beds for the winter. For the first use you’re able to move them around as you fill them. They will be heavy after you add your kitchen compost and take on moisture. The first two bags I bought are dirt at the bottom. Perfect.

I would not buy them again. They are how they were described but I'm not impressed with how they work. I followed the direction exactly, so far nothing good...maybe I need to wait longer but it stinks and has flies and knat inside it. Maybe it's just not for me and will work for someone else.

Nice product. Right size for me. Can stand if add some leafs in the bottom. Bought two. Can’t wait to fill it up and have composed fertilizer for my garden in the spring next year! Actually after a few days, it does not stand on itself anymore. Also, some animals were able to open the opening at the bottom to dig out the food waste. Nevertheless, I am using the bags to store chicken poop and leafs. No more mess up from animals. I still like the bags. Not suggest for food waste though.

Not sturdy constantly flops over, leaks fluid. Not great for compost.

I’ve been a gardener for a few years, last year I became burnt out with the process and decided not to grow anything. This year I wanted to do everything in a simple way. Being a busy wife and homeschooling mom — I needed a simple way to begin composting again in our new home. These bags definitely meet that need. They are easy to use and it was so simple to find somewhere to place it in our backyard. Now all of my juicing scraps can be easily added to the compost and best of all my children can take care of it. Another plus is the value I got for the price! This package came with 2!
