For over a decade, the Merrell® Moab has been the choice of hikers when a choice needs to be made, making it the bestselling hiker in the world. Famous for its out-of-the-box comfort, durability and all-purpose versatility, its predecessors have enabled 20 million people to step further outdoors. This version features athletic materials for lighter-weight, versatile performance you can count on. Review: I love the MOAB 2, but wanted to try these MOAB 3's, which are a little different design, and they were on sale so I jumped at them, and I am happy. Been wearing them a month now, and they broke in fine, and I plan on wearing these out like I have done with every other pair since 2013. The Vibram souls are my favorite, and from experience I only purchase that sole, since they are very durable and withstood me hiking around with a 50 lb pack for months without splitting. Review: Very comfortable, light and right fit.

Use these to walk my dog. The bad thing is that they are not water proof at all. My feet get wet if the dew point is reached. The grass gets wet and I'm walking along and I feel this coldness. Nasty. My feet are soaking wet in minutes. Then of course I walk through puddles and the shoes do nothing to protect my feet. They have good traction over all surfaces. Fit nice. Comfortable and offer good support. Good arch support and easy to leave tied and made into a slip-on. If you need your feet to stay dry then choose another pair of shoes.

I've owned Meryl hikers for I don't know how long and my last pair wore out a year or so ago and I kind of limped along with different shoes and footwear of other kinds and I went online to buy what I thought was another pair of the Merrill hikers I loved forever. These are not those shoes. They are incredibly light and blah blah blah but they're also plastic where the previous shoes I had purchased were leather I understand now that those shoes are still available but these ones look like them and I didn't zoom in close enough and my old man eyes you know the story

Pretty comfortable from the first wear. I’ve even worn them during Winter hiking. My friends all had insulated boots. I would prefer to have had insulated boots as well, but these worked well enough for the four hours we were out and about. My only real concern is that these shoes don’t seem to have quite the traction that I’ve experienced with other hiking shoes when surfaces are a bit damp. They’ve slipped enough to make me extra cautious in those situations.
