I have a number of items, Drill, Strimmer, Hedge Trimmer, Blower and others in the range which I have purchased with/without batteries as I have gone along. Mostly I have 1.5amp hour batteries and whilst they work fine for small jobs I find that I am charging lots. The 4amp hour is a game changer and lasts so much better whatever job I’m doing. It lasts long enough on one charge to cut all my rear hedges which I would guess is around 40 mins of constant use. It also feels more powerful in my blower which I’m not sure is the case or not but the fact that it lasts that much longer between charging just makes the battery use that much more practical as well. I used to have McCulloch petrol stuff that I used in my garden which only I could use as it was hard for my wife to maintain and use. This stuff has replaced this now and she is more than happy to use B&D battery tools round the garden and then charge the batteries when needed. I am not saying that this battery stuff is as powerful or as good as the petrol alternative, I am just saying that it’s far more practical and user friendly for my house.
