EXCELLENT DEVICE FOR THE PRICE!
This device is very efficient and does an excellent job! So simple to install that a child could likely do it. I got 4 more of these for other vehicles that I don't drive very much! Save your battery life, and maybe prevent your vehicles from getting stolen. Highly recommend these.

Battery disconnect.
Works amazingly well. Very low cost. Installed in a 1950 Crosley Hot Shot. Difficult to install in tight space.

Was a little confused when setting up. But got it set up and itโs been great ever since
Works as intended! I have a brutally random parasitic battery drain on my 2006 Honda Odyssey that is caused by the power sliding doors. After finding no (cheap) alternative to my power drain issue, and expecting other problems to make my odyssey succumb to its impending doom, this kill-switch has made life easy for me! I no longer have to pop the hood and unplug my battery every time I show up to the club! Just hit the off button and the battery disconnects. Then hit the on button and Itโs ready to go! Only had a couple issues, I appeared to be missing a nut compared to the instructions when I was putting it together. But I โrobbed Peter to pay Paulโ and got everything hooked up with what was included. The other issue is just that keychain broke in my pocket while working. I probably sat directly on it against the corner of a concrete wall so itโs not unexpected. Iโve been using this kill switch for over a month and itโs been a great help for my situation. I also combine it with a cheap wall battery charger/repair thing that I connect when Iโm not driving my car for a week or more. So I can't say how long you can leave your car sitting with this connected. But it has survived at least a week for me without any power input and the switch set to off. Overall Iโm happy with this thing and it almost makes my beater car feel like a normal car ๐

So if you are an engineer like me this 2 wire cut off will work on the positive post
So here are pictures of the manual with some details and diagrams of what I am talking about. Would be nice if that was in the product description. So if you are an engineer like me this 2 wire cut-off will work on the positive post instead of the negative post for use as a shut-off. In my truck, my negative post is almost impossible to connect to and also I run dual batteries using an auto-isolation circuit so this needed to be set on the positive side of my battery to prevent discharge through the positive cable as the ground is shared between both batteries and the auto-switch is on the positive side and would require a major rewire job. So before you connect anything under the hood this is what you need to do with 86 and 85 the POWER POINTS for the electronics. The connectors for the batter on the outermost of the relay are NOT polarity sensitive so do not care if it is positive or negative or what direction the power is flowing. YOU MUST CHANGE THIS BEFORE YOU CONNECT ANYTHiNG TO USE THIS ON THE POSITIVE POST What the manufacturer did is they tapped the negative 85 using a short wire to the negative post for the circuit side then using a longer wire run 86 to the positive battery post. Then the relay when switched on connects the out port to the negative battery cable for the body ground. As this is ACTUALLY a 2-wire cut-off relay and THOSE 2 wires on 85 and 86 are what MATTER as to how they connect to power, the manufacturer just uses a short cable to the BATTERY SIDE of the cut-off part of the relay and that is what makes it polarity sensitive for negative side use. BUT what you can actually do is connect the relay to the positive post and the output to feed to the rest of the vehicle. the CENTER posts are the ones that you CAN NOT misconnect. To use this on the positive side instead do the following. REVERSE the black and red wires on the center 2(two) connections (85- 86+) so that the negative side 85- is connected to the long red wire that connects to the negative battery post and the positive side 86+ becomes the black short wire that connects to the positive post of the battery. A relay is a Relay or a basic switch that is opened and closed by a magnetic coil being energized and in itself the contacts are not polarity sensitive. It is the electronic circuit on the CENTER post which IS POLARIZED!!! Doing the above or even eliminating the manufacturer cables and electing to use longer red and black cables to provide power to the 85 and 86 on the relay to the correct terminals will allow this to work on the positive side of the battery. Not all installations can use the negative side of the battery in my case I need to be able to cut off the positive side due to the DUAL battery system and shared negative connection. If this is reposted I will add photos of my configuration when the sun comes out as the Delivery was late at night and there was not a lot of light and I have been dealing with the power drain problem for some time and disconnecting and reconnecting my battery using a jump box. In my truck someone tried to jimmy the door locks so instead of replacing them I added power locks and an RFID pad to unlock the doors, there is no other way as there is not a working key lock, it has to be the RFID pad or using the power locks relay via the wireless door lock remote. Have to get access to the hood release which is INSIDE a LOCKED vehicle to then attach the jump pack. I have jump posts on the outside but too much cable causes too much resistance and it will not start with a dead battery and the jump pack with all that cable resistance even using 2 gauge cable is to much resistance for efficient starting. But the door locks will operate.

It works great.
It is just what I needed on my 2005 VW Beetle which has a parasitic drain on the battery. It's great having the remote and not having to lift the hood every time I want to go somewhere or when returning home.

BAD idea for newer vehicles with ECM computer (computer resets every start)
Received tonight and installed on my 2010 Toyota Highlander limited. My negative battery cable did not want to fit very well onto this device due to the Angles and the short nature of these newer generation wires. Had to modify by bending the factory negative cable and connector about 30ยฐ in order to make it configure. The reason I only give it three stars is because of usage on my particular vehicle. Although it does work as designed I believe this to be an extremely poor idea as used for a parasitic drain or a security measure on your newer generation vehicle. Consider that every time you disconnect your negative lead on your battery, your vehicles ECM computer is going to reset. I don't care at all about the factory clock or radio settings but in the Highlander specifically, when you go to restart the vehicle after reconnecting it will crank over and start for about 1 second and then die every single time. On the second button press it will start and stay running every single time however the computer has reset completely and this is very hard on a car's ECM computer. I will not swear that it is going to jeopardize the ECM computer long-term but it is definitely not good on it. Additionally, your car's fuel economy may suffer as well if your ECM requires constant 12 volt power to remember shift points in the transmission as well as other components needing to reset every time the battery is disconnected. If your intention is to only use this to rectify and unsolvable parasitic battery drain occasionally while you are on a long trip or if your vehicle sits for long. The time between use then I would suggest that it is fine. However I would not use this as an everyday device turn it on and off everyday or even multiple times per day..

desconectador poco practico.
Aun que la idea de desconectar la bateria es muy buena para evitar la descarga de ella ,hay que pensar que existen dentro del carro aparatos que se desprograman al ser desconectados por lo que no resulto de mi utilidad este desconectador.
