Better than pins or clips
I am a self taught sewer so any help I can get is appreciated. I found this tape very helpful in hemming a shirt I shortened. It was easy to apply and sticky enough to hold the hem in place while I folded and sewed it. Even allowed for repositioning. I doubt if the tape would be much use for knits or heavy weight fabrics but works for cotton type and light weight fabrics. After application and sewing I soaked the garment in warm water then washed as normal. There seemed to be no residue remaining from the tape, no extra stiffness in the hem. A more experienced sewer might not see the need but I found this tape useful and can see me finding other applications in the future.

Cheap and cheerful.
It’s effective and significantly cheaper than more well-known brands. Unfortunately it has a habit of the end 3” drying out and loosing the ability to stick, between sewing sessions. Keeping it in the packaging it came in helps, but doesn’t resolve the issue. Good for the price I paid, wouldn’t pay more. It does dissolve with water and wash away very easily.

Very useful
This is one of those products which makes you think how did I manage with out it, it's absolutely brilliant in holding zips on to the fabric, and then holding the lining on to the zip, keeps everything in place, it's easy to use and store away and it washes away...it's a great product which I will be using a lot of it and definitely recommend it

Excellent tape. Will definitely be buying again soon.
I have used this tape a couple of times some far and find it very useful, especially saves pinning around curves. I have used it for piping around armholes and other parts of dressmaking. The only nuisance I find is that the 2 rolls came in a tight pack and the rolls are stuck together...this means I cannot just use one roll without the other unravelling too. This causes threads etc to stick to the other roll. It Would make sense for there to be a wax paper or something in between the rolls to prevent this. Definitely a very good it's and easy product to user. Update: As time has gone by and I have used this product more and more (especially helpful with placing zips), I am definitely going to purchase more very soon as hate the thought of being without it anytime now. Also, having washing garments after using this, it does totally disappear...no residue or lines at all. A must have for many projects I would say...not just for sewing.

You need this!
My new favourite sewing tool! I use this tape to attach zips before sewing instead of using pins, and to stabilise hems on thin and stretchy fabrics as it makes it easy to sew and stops the fabric from pulling or being caught in the sewing machine feed dogs. After the first wash it’s gone! It’s very sticky, but you can reposition your fabric a few times and it will still stick. You will end up with some residue on your fingers, but it washes off very easily.
