You can fit 24 in the more spacious troop transport. **Q: Why is this so grossly over priced?** A: This set has not been produced by Lego for several years, so there is a very limited number of unopened sets - thus the price goes up. **Q: how about box condition??** A: That's the one bad thing about this set, along with the 10240 UCS Xwing fighter.
