Tefal Ingenio Stainless Steel Steamer With Glass Lid

Absolutely wonderful steamer add on for our new pan set. So glad we purchased this high quality add on that fits our pan set and also gave us another lid. Easy to use, and clean. Plenty of room for steaming all our veg as required. Stacks well in the drawer taking up little space.

Excellent steamer unit to complement the Tefal Ingenio range (or indeed any other make of 24cm saute pan). The steamer sits securely inside the pan, with an indentation to enable use of a detachable Ingenio handle. You can use the detachable handle on the steamer tray too, so you can lift it clear with little effort. In addition, there is a flat steel loop on the steamer to aid lifting or to hang on a pan rack. Does veggies to perfection, and the surface area is plenty big enough for you to cook decent sized pieces of fish, or dim sum too. Matt stainless steel finish means you can give it a good scrub, or put it in the dishwasher with no problems. The lid is thick glass with a black acrylic border and 'butterfly' handle that folds flat for storage, and cut-outs to accommodate a handle and to facilitate steam escape and draining. I use this with a Tefal pan I already have.. works well no issues so far..

I would not have thought that steamers could be much different from each other, but this is the best I've ever used. Its large size means all the vegetables are in 1 layer and cook evenly and I can use the steamer to reheat leftovers as well, (well wrapped in silver foil) while the veg are cooking. Its not too big for 1 if you eat a lot of veg, which I do. The lid is excellent and can be used with other Tefal pans.

Como la batería de cocina. Me faltaba este complemento para tenerlo ya todo. Además viene la tapa que me vale para todos los utensilios de ingenio.

je l'ai acheté il y a déjà plusieurs mois quand je faisais un régime et je n'en ai jamais été déçue (bien vérifier qu'on a la bonne taille de sauteuse pour le fonctionnement optimal!) ça cuit assez rapidement, et on peut mettre (en négociant quand même un peu ça ne ferme pas complétement en début de cuisson et à la fin c'est tout juste) 2 kg de choux fleur surgelés ce qui permet de faire des bons gros gratins quand on est nombreux à table sans devoir sortir la grosse artillerie (bien planquée au fin fond des placards les plus inaccessibles)! on peut aussi y cuire 3 ou 4 bonnes aubergines entières! la hauteur convient pour cuire le légume sans avoir à le couper pour ne pas trop perdre le jus. (quand on fait une purée d'aubergine c'est préférable) on peut y cuire du poisson également... je n'ai pas encore testé les raviolis à la vapeur chinois, mais ça doit marcher aussi!. j'ai eu des mésaventures d'eau dans la sauteuse, trop ou trop peu... mais rien de catastrophique quand le couvercle ferme mal (comme avec les 2kg de choux fleur) il faut surveiller que toute l'eau ne s'évapore pas! je l'utilise le plus souvent avec des légumes surgelés, que je ne fais pas décongeler avant, ça marche très bien. c'est vraiment un produit que je ne regrette pas d'avoir acheté, il vaut son prix et si vous devez faire attention à votre ligne ou votre santé, c'est parfait.

J'ai acheté ce panier +couvercle après avoir cassé le couvercle en verre d'origine avec ma sauteuse tefal ingenio pensant pouvoir utiliser le couvercle sans le panier, le couvercle est adapté au panier mais pas à la sauteuse, je le garde car cela me fait un grand panier vapeur qui se pose sur le haut (et donc se superpose à la sauteuse), dommage car j'ai cherché un couvercle tefal 24cm dans le moteur de recherche amazon donc on peut être induit en erreur, il a en effet des petits éléments qui dépassent en dessous qui ne lui permettent pas de s'emboiter sur la sauteuse, seulement sur le panier.
