Lipcote Original Lipstick Sealer Long Lasting Lipstick Sealer 7 ml - Pack of 2

Have used this stuff for about 40 years or more, but is getting increasingly difficult to find in shops. Rimmels lipstick lock does the same thing but is more expensive and the brush is made of stiff plastic. Lipcote brush is nice and soft. It stays on all day, protects cups, glasses and other people from lipstick smudge, and each tube lasts forever. In winter helps prevent chapped lips, but if you are like me and don't wear lipstick every day so lips chap anyway, the tingle when you apply it is something fierce, but literally only for a fraction of a second. Removes easily with vaseline. If you don't take it off at night, you wake up with lipstick still in place - it really is that good!

I bought this after trying (and failing) to find Rimmel Lip Lock on the shelves, as that was my go-to lipstick lock for a long time. After reading the reviews I can say that Lipcote does a fantastic job, if not better than the Rimmel stuff. It keeps my lipstick in place for hours even when I'm eating and drinking and after the inital tingle on application it remains very comofrotable to wear thereafter

My daughter swears by this stuff but…I have a dry mouth, so I found the alcohol denat (used to ensure it stays put, along with shellac, makes my lips feel even drier after a while. I’d use it occasionally, as it does work - if you apply it thinly, blot then apply another thin swipe of it. There’s an initial tingle, and if that persists, it means you’ve used too much (which I definitely did the first time). I’ll use it when I really want to keep my lipstick on show as it were, but I felt I kept wanting a drink or to add some moisture to my lips. That’s just me, of course, there’s no doubt this works and it’s good value, but it’s not always right for me.

How well your lipstick stays in

I wanted my lipstick to stay in place longer. This does the trick fine. Stays in place much longer.

This could be called "Perfect Lips "....easy to apply and keeps lipstick on the lips and not smudging into surrounding skin..........Just Perfect !

This product is essential to me during Covid. I've missed wearing lipstick to events and this keeps it in place even after having had a facemask on. I like to have lipstick for e.g. a trip to a bar but find that there are moments where I'll need to put my mask on. This is a worry free solution. It feels a bit tingly and does dry my lips a little, but the lipstick still looks great and doesn't budge at all. The product is totally worth it in my opinion!

Did not work smells horrible like nail varnish remover and stings on contact with lips . Didn't even last 1 hour .

I wear lipstick. I wear masks all the time when not at home. I bought this to keep the lipstick stain off my masks. It works great. I highly recommend it for women who have this problem. It also makes your lipstick last a lot longer. Doesn't distort the color either. I didn't detect any moisturizing effect at all, but it also didn't seem to dry them out either. Bottle is a bit bigger than some other brands.
