I need to test the power on pc ports while using 20gbps external drives. will this support that? if not how high will it go?

Yes, it works. I tested it with a Lexar NM620 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD in an Silverstone MS12 external USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20Gbps enclousure. Normaly i get 2100MBps read/write speeds. When i use the Power-Z to measure the power consumption i get read speeds about 1600MBps and 2000MBps write speed.

Does this test for faulty/slow (usb 2.0) cables aswell? i need something to verify usb-c cables are 5/10/20/40gbps.

The tester can detect the E-Marker Chip of the cable, which can display its specs info, such as charging speed and data transmission speed. But most USB 2.0 is not equipped with E-Marker Chip, so the tester cannot test it.

Can i use a usb-a adapter to test usb-a ports?

It can support testing USB-A devices using a USB-C to USB-A cable. You can also use a USB-A adapter, but test results may be affected by the adapter.

How to test chargers with attached cable? Is there a male to female adapter included?

Firstly, there is no male to female adaptor included, but you can also test the charger with attached cable. Just put the tester between the load (like your laptops, phones) and the attached USB-C cable. Or simply insert the attached cable into the USB-C Female (Receptacle) of KM003C and connect the tester to an independent power supply.
