This citric acid is a great product and this is the second tub I have bought. It's a very good all rounder that is excellent at keeping drains clear, reviving pots and pans, a good stain remover, a good disinfectant for kitchen worktops and it's great for cooking with. If you have pans that are stained on the bottoms, simply wet the base and sprinkle some of this citric acid onto it. Leave for 1/2 hour then use a soft scourer like the ones on cheap sponges, give a little elbow grease and the stains come up to revive the pan back to a new condition. Burn't food in a pan, no problem, just do the same, wet the burnt food and sprinkle this citric acid onto it and leave a short while to let the product work. The burnt food will come off the pan easily. One can use this to clean toilet bowls, add to warm water and mop floors etc. etc. As for cooking this is an excellent product. It makes a good sweet and sour sauce, it works well with most fruits so if one want to bake a fruit pie, add a tiny ammount of citric acid to the fruit to enhance the flavour of the fruit whiilst giving pleasant tangy taste. In cakes, especially a good lemon cake, add a tiny amount of this and the lemon is well enhanced. I am recommending this citric acid as it is a very good quality product that delivers exceptionally good value when considering how long it lasts and the many, many possible uses, including keeping the washing mashine clean and fresh.

This stuff has almost magical properties as a safe, non-toxic cleaner but is almost impossible to find in shops. It is far more versatile, economical and less stinky than white vinegar. It safely descales, softens hard water and helps remove soap residue; it is a superb degreaser and general cleaner. Two ways I use it: dissolve 2 tbs citric acid in a little hot water, top up to 500ml with cold water and pour into a spray bottle. Use to clean glass, mirrors, showers - just spray and wipe. To clean sinks, baths, cooker tops and work tops I mix together equal parts of bicarbonate of soda, borax substitute and salt and add a little citric acid. Mix thoroughly and use as a scouring powder - sprinkle on, wipe with a damp cloth and rinse. We have a septic tank rather than mains drainage and I know this is safe and effective to use, plus it doesn't give me an asthma attack like some commercial products.

Far too much for our needs, it was returned in favour of a lesser quantity that will not need many years to fully consume. Useful to descale kettles, coffee machines etc.

I buy this regularly as I follow Nancy Birtwhistle with all natural cleaning agents without severe chemicals

Really happy with this citric acid it’s in a tub rather than a bag, which makes it easier for storage, we use this for making sweets and bath bombs and no problems with it, I will order again when this runs out. Thank you
