Game changer
These shelves have been a game changer in organising our home garage. We now have a place for everything and everything is in its place! Construction was quite straightforward and once assembled they are quite strong and well up to the job required. They stand well and are sturdy against a flat wall but a useful tip, there are pre drilled holes in the uprites which can be used to attach securing straps ( not supplied) to a wall to prevent them falling forward. Good safety tip. Purchased 2 shelves to start our project which we thought were good value for money but a little disappointed that a further four units purchased a couple of days later had increased in price by a pound! Still good value at under £20 each. Delivery was by Evri and to be fair was very good and timely. Would recommend.

Quite good, as good any any in the price bracket really.
Having just built 6 other similar shelving racks last week this one I could directly compare. This one was smaller (700x30x150cm versus 900x45x180cm) but the initial impression was it was packed much better. The other ones last week you could hear the parts rolling around in there. These seemed much more secure. On opening the metal parts were packed between the shelves top and bottom and end wrapped with the cling wrap stuff that sticks to itself but isn't sticky. Also a small foam packer each end. However, all this did not stop the people handling this damaging some parts. Just 2 of the longer rails were bent (picture attached) but quickly flattened between two pieces of wood with a hammer, without any apparent damage to the paint. It turned out these were almost identical design and colour to the other racking I bought elsewhere which is a bonus. I'm not sure "the 1.0mm thick steel is finished with 4 layers of powder coating." is strictly true, we have a powder coat line at work and 4 coats would be pretty thick. However, the paint finish is fine and looks good and survived the rough handling and transport pretty much unscathed. Fitting together is simple and positive enough although, differently to the other racking I just built, the central brace is the same gauge as the rest, which is fairly stiff for bending the flats required to retain them. I found doing the first 90° bend then a small angle approximately the width of the retain slot on the main shelf supports enabled me to insert then AND get a screwdriver in to bend them to retain securely (picture attached). The MDF shelves fit easily as they have 4 corners trimmed to stop catching on the shelf slots (my other shelves had 2 corners notched. I think however though that "cut-to-size 5mm MDF boards" is being a little enthusiastic, more closer to 4mm, but then wood suppliers do like to exaggerate. For the size they are OK. Although if you did put a 175kg weight as shown in the images in one spot on the shelf I'm not sure how the thin MDF would cope. but boxes and stuff spread out should be fine. A final point is on this rack the jointing piece to join the two halves of each upright were not as tight a fit as on the other supplier racks. Those needed a tap in with hammer and block of wood, these ones could hand fit quite easily and were't keen on staying straight on their own until all tied together with the shelf bars. Perfectly fine once assemble, just my observation. I would buy this again if I needed the size. I can't quantify why only 4 stars, I guess I am a tight sod. More like 4.5 stars really.

Shocked How Good They Are
I ordered two of these to stock emergency food in tins and water containers for the garage as you never know. I remember building things out of mechano when I was about 8 years of age and this was easier to build, simply slot and build. They went together so easily, I never even used a screwdriver. A quick tap with a rubber mallet Once everything was together, it is strong and sturdy, loaded up even stronger 💪. There is also an option with the holes on the uprights to screw them to a wall. One negative, was the destructions, sorry instructions, it shows the top shelf fits to the top, over if you do try his you cannot fit the plastic upright caps. I put the top shelf one slot lower and everything was fine.,

Great value and super easy to assemble
Delighted with these shelves. They were to fit a tight space and were perfect sizing, also really simple to put together with no screws amazingly. Took myself and wife less than an hour to unpack and put together. Great for the price.

Ok
These are ok once assembled but assembling isn't the best, it's fiddly and testing, would help if the instructions were better, I had to turn to YouTube otherwise I'd have never been able to figure it out, and I've done a lot of flat pack assembly in my time. Centre supports are not great, keep coming loose but as I'm only storing light weight sewing products it should be ok. Delivery was good, and very quick. I put heavy items on bottom shelf to help stabilise the unit. Ok for the price but would I buy again? Probably not.

Strong and stable.
Excellent racks, they feel a bit flimsy when you are putting them together, but if you trust the process they come together into a nice strong set of shelves, I have quite a few power tools sat on these racks and some of them are in excess of 20kg and these shelves are holding them all no problem, they look quite nice too, and are very stable.
