I bought this looking for a lightweight item that mostly provided pockets without risking overheating. It does that job well. If you're looking for something warm, this isn't it. It provides a small amount of extra insulation, but that's not it's purpose. As other people have reported, get the size up from what you usually get. Mine is just slightly baggy, but OK, and on this scale I believe my normal size would have been too small. It feels well made. The zips are solid, big teeth. They don't look like they're the sort that will jam or come apart quickly. The pockets are practical, including some large ones that hold quite big items. The D-rings seem a big of a gimmick, but maybe some people will find a use for them. They don't get in the way, they just seem style more than function, is all. I haven't used mine outdoors in anger yet. Time will tell how robust it is. But so far I'm happy with it.

This gilet was a very reasonable price and although I would have preferred an all cotton one, I wanted a decent number of pockets of a good size. This gilet has lots of pockets and several of them large enough to put wallet, keys, phone etc in and dog's play ball.

I like the jacket very much. I was about to order 3X but Amazon recommended 4X. So I ordered 4X and found the fit generous (but not over-generous). I like my summer jackets loose so the air circulates. Couldn't be happier.

I would say it nearly fitted except if the inner pockets were filled it would not fit and filling the pockets is the reason for wearing. The quality appeared good particularly the main zip. This was the only polycotton gilet I could find. All others seemed to be cotton but I particularly wanted polycotton. As is common sizing is pot luck. The product description says L chest is 122cm (48"). My chest with thin shirt is 110cm. I measured the vest as 120cm. So why did id barely fit? No idea. Something to do with the cut I think. The product description sizing link has a typo affecting L chest sizing. All that said, given a decent fit I think this is a product worth having. Just hope the XL works for me. Update: received the XL. A good fit, sometimes I am L, sometimes XL

IT IS A GOOD FIT BUT THEY ARE MADE FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE A WEIGHT ISSUE. I AM HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE. PS: THE ZIPPER IS DESIGNED TO RAISE AND LOWER FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE VEST. IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME SO I KEPT ALL THE VESTS I ORDERED AND AM HAPPY WITH MY DECISION. THEY ARE GOOD VESTS AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.
