I have been using these to teach my 3-year-old niece her presidents, and they have been incredibly productive to that end. I usually go through the cards with her while she eats, and I quiz her during car-rides or waiting in line at the store. When given the first name of a President, she can usually give you the last name (James Madison sometimes gets confused with James Monroe, though). The cards have very good pictures of the Presidents on them, and have their names written clearly on the back. As my niece has learned to read, I have purchased the Trend Enterprise deck of Presidents and the Merka USA States/Presidents deck that have the names written on the front. This way, it encourages her to read the Presidents' names. After watching his big sister receive kudos for learning the Presidents, my nephew started memorizing the last names of Presidents. He could match most last names to first names by the time he turned two. When we visited the book store, he was able to recognize a picture of Barack Obama on the cover of a magazine, and a picture of George W. Bush on a book. My brother and his wife are both proud of how quickly their children picked up on learning the Presidents. They are also pretty shocked that they could learn so many. I am quite happy with the CarDia set, and if it was the only set I owned, I'd still consider it an adequate teaching tool. Please note: I purchased these cards last year, and my deck does not have Joe Biden in it. According to the pictures and description, the new deck has added him. I personally wish that they would update the photo of Donald Trump and Joe Biden to their official portraits; I think it would be more in line with the rest of the deck. However, my niece loves it that the picture of Trump shows him giving a thumbs-up.
