Works well
It's a bit flimsy, so have to watch the top to make sure it doesn't come off once attaching it to the base. Heats up in a few minutes and cools down a few minutes after unplugging or powering off. Obviously isn't meant to cut really large straight pieces. Might depend on the type of Styrofoam but sometimes the pieces stick to the wire and messes up the piece. Doesn't work on foam, least mine didn't

Do not waste your money
tried to use this to cut out a character on foam board and it barely heats up and can barely apply pressure without the string breaking. you're better off using a box cutter to cut foam than this "tool"
