We Three Kings

I loved the artwork and the different animals that the wise men (three kings) rode: Elephant, Camel and Horse, not all camels! Bought several to give as presents. Wish there was a poster or postcards of the cover without the writing as it is the best picture! Maybe there are Christmas cards with this picture? Now, THAT would be lovely and I would buy them!

The illustrations are beautiful and the book covers the entirety of the song, with one page for each of the 5 verses, plus a repeated "chorus" page. They do not compress "Frankincense" and "Myrhh" into one verse, as some recordings do. Then at the end there is the sheet music and all the lyrics on one page. One small issue - I had always sang "guide us to that perfect sight", but in this book, we are being guided "to thy perfect light". Perhaps that is more correct?

We own, literally, hundreds of children's books. I think that this is the most beautifully illustrated of them all. Each verse of the song and image is worthy of a meditation on its own. My kids all love listening to this book and I love when they request it.

I was struck by the beauty of the artwork in this Christmas tome of the three kings. There are so many things to pick out in the art that my two year old granddaughter sat on my lap very still for quite some time to discuss what she could see. This will be a family keepsake book for the great-grandchildren. This would make a lovely gift...may have to order more to share with others.

My kids and I love the beautiful illustrations in this book. The timeless hymn tells of each of the gifts brought by the Wise Men to Jesus and what each one signifies about what Jesus is to us. I use it every Christmas for homeschool lessons.

Beautiful illustrations and a book to keep for future generations. Can't wait until I have grandchildren I can read this book too, but my 15 year olds enjoyed looking at the beautiful drawings whilst reading this beloved bible story.

This is a book of the song "We Three Kings," which is exactly what I wanted. The illustrations are very pretty. However, the illustrations are practically the same on all the pages that feature the chorus. Obviously, the text is going to be repetitive when you're talking about a song with a chorus, but I don't feel that the illustrations needed to be the same on those pages as well...

You know this favorite Christmas Carol but you have never seen it so beautifully illustrated. I have so many of Spirin's illustrated children's books because he is just superb at what he does. Children will not only like to have this read to them aloud, but will love reading it back to you because it is so beautiful to gaze at.
