Aidapt Extra Long Flexible Handle Shower Bath Sponge Back Scrubber for Washing Hard to Reach Areas Aid

I need this because I’m arthritic and not very flexible, and it’s very useful for reaching the parts I can’t! The shaped handle is an advantage - I tried one with a rigid straight handle and it wasn’t as good. I know from experience with others that the sponges don’t last for ever, at some stage the handle where it is fixed starts to work its way through, but even so I wouldn’t be without one.

Does what it is supposed to do

Well made and fairly sturdy. some complain that the handle is too flexible, I found it to be just perfect it allows the right amount of give, so I don't press too hard.

Told no climbing into my in-bath shower for 10 weeks after hip replacement. Had to wash at bathroom sink which I hated. This sponge however made a huge difference. I used non-wash off cleansing body lotion and wetted the sponge slightly and was able to wash my back easily. Later as I was able to bend forward a little i could wash my legs and now I'm back in my shower but still not able to get to my feet, I use this sponge to step in and squeeze the suds through my toes. I really wouldn't have been so independent without it. I love the curved handlebars it makes all the difference.

I was able to easily change the profile of the handle with a heat gun, which enabled me to target particular areas more accurately. I also slightly modified the shape of the sponge for the same reason. this is an excellent sponge for both those reasons. perhaps that put the join under more strain than it was designed to take, but the sponge had separated from the handle before two months of use had elapsed. I went for a different product altogether, one with a plastic handle which extended all the way to the tip, and you buy tubes of foam, covered with a drawstring mesh bag over it, to do the cleaning. The cost is about the same, but it is much more durable. I may be stretching the use of this sponge beyond it's intended purpose, but I thought it should have lasted longer than 2 months. But it may be fine for you

I use these all the time and always make sure that I have a spare. They last quite long and certainly do the job!

Very good aid for disabled person. Firm sponge that rinsed well. Easy to hang with useful hook. Recommended.

Although the quality of the sponge isn’t anything special, the design of the handle means it’s highly functional. Well worth having if you don’t have great shoulder flexibility.
