Contemporary Landscapes in Mixed Media

I'm really pleased with this book, mostly because it includes a generous number of the author's bold, colourful paintings (I like art books with lots of pictures!). I haven't read much of the text yet and I don't actually use acrylics myself, so for me it's more about general visual inspiration: ideas and examples of how to use colour more creatively and imaginatively in landscapes.

Beautiful book to pore over on a grey cold miserable day. Full of insight advice and techniques. Encouraging tone. Gorgeous pictures to sigh over. Very inspiring.

Good value. Soraya French has an exotic and brilliant colour style of painting using mixed media and copious use of various mediums such as gels and gesso. Acrylic, acrylic ink, pastel, water-colour often used together and with a lot of descriptions of her processes. Warm and exciting.

Bought as a present for the Artist in my life- he absolutely loved it and found it very inspiring

Beautiful images - good source of inspiration. Would have been good to have had more detail on the process the artist went through to achieve the end result. But a beautiful source of images!

Beautiful illustrations and tips for painting landscapes.

This is not for a beginner, you need to be fairly knowledgeable already. If you want to learn contemporary art, the technique and how to achieve it, this is not the book for you. However, it is very good in explaining the different medium that can be used to achieve contemporary art. It’s good to have in collection.

LOVE this book. If you love this artist and this medium then get this book without hesitation. So vibrant and full of easy to understand infomation.

The photo on the cover is just one example of the many beautiful pieces of art that were included in the book. I was amazed to see how many unbelievably gorgeous works of art were included. The image quality was very good. The artist included detailed descriptions of materials and process for every piece. This outstanding book inspired me and helped me understand how to create colorful, emotionally charged mixed media landscapes.

Ein wunderbares workshop Buch. Sehr schöne Bilder und das Papier hat eine sehr gute Qualität, sehr gute Farben. Ein wunderbares Buch für Künstler und die die es noch werden wollen.Das Buch ist Absolut zu Empfehlen und eine tolle Bereicherung für mich. Sehr gut nachvollziehbare Beispiele. Mein zweites Buch hon diesem Verlag, ich bin begeistert.
