Absolutely love this item. I bought them to use on some backcountry, long mileage hikes in an off grid area of the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. They worked like a charm! Durable, comfortable, not cumbersome at all… But totally protected my legs on the hike. Someone else on this trip bought some as well, but a different brand, and they were not nearly as comfortable. So glad I got these.

I bought these for my husband and I for our hike in Uganda to trek the gorillas. I researched a number of gators. These were amazing! They really protected our legs (we wore them over our long pants) from the the tough brush in the jungle. I knocked them down a star because the strap that goes under your boot is flimsy. We didn't even use it. We should have just cut it off because if flapped around. Other than that, they're really great.

Exactly as pictured and described arrived quickly.

Nothing wrong or right, bought on a trip recommendation. Returned. If you are going to see the gorillas in Africa, don't buy these get wellies instead.

These work really well when you are shoveling deep snow. They allow you to work in deep drifts and not have the snow get up into your boots. Anyone who has had this happen knows how miserable that can be. You can finish the job and not have wet sock and boots!!

These seem to be well made and appear to be durable. The one caveat is the strap and buckle that serve as a stirrup to keep the gaiters from riding up. They appear to be vulnerable to breaking when stressed or walking over rocks/rough surfaces. The stars are based on my initial impression of their build quality as opposed to usefulness since they don't fit me. After trying to wear them, they are apparently designed for willowy men who make their living as models for stick figures. For the rest of us, anyone whose calves are larger in diameter than a navel orange will find them a very snug fit, if they can get them on at all. Of course, that begs the question of why such a delicate flower of a man would have a need to wear gaiters in the first place. Fashion accessory for a pair of leather chaps for late night dancing with other wispy men?

The plastic stirrups were the first to snap after a few days. These are meant for city working definitely not for “working” or playing in the snow. Better the non active winter duties.

The outside strap and buckle to secure the gaiters around the bottom of the footwear is secured very weakly to the gaiters. During my first use, when tightening the plastic strap, the buckle broke off with minimal pressure. The buckle and strap need to be made of stronger materials and secured better to the gaiters. Everything else about the gaiters was great.

This are great to prevent your pants from getting wet due to rain or snow! I did a 10 km snowshoeing trail with over 30 cm of snow and it kept my pants dry as well as covered part of my boots so my feet also was protected from part of the humidity. I am very pleased! I find that the price is also very good considering the quality of the product!

I liked that i did not get any mud or water in my hiking boots or on the bottoms of my hiking pants. I thought they looked short but they were perfect height coming to just below knee, they were fairly easy to put on and adjust fit. They come in a light weight storage bag for keeping the pair together when not in use. When hiking uneven terrain with a lot of roots the strap under my hiking boot caught on roots a couple of times. One strap broke off where it was sewn onto gaiter. It was an easy repair for Mr FixIt when we got home. I was my first time using gaiters.
