Pioneer MVH-X580DAB Next Generation Car Stereo with AM/FM, Bluetooth, USB, DAB/DAB+ and Spotify

First off I've had pioneer dab in all my cars so far, and then when I got my Astra I decided to buck the trend and went for a Pure Highway dab. Hmm, first impressions were ok but it wouldn't do steering wheel control, I thought meh ok, don't need em. After it was installed i quickly realised the mistake off not having the controls, I missed them! Plus the buttons were far too small, plus the biggest bug bear was the display...it's super bright white light even on dim, and is very distracting when driving at night...always in the corner of your view!! Now to the Pioneer!...I got it from halfords not amazon as the supplier sodded me around on price. For 109 quid it's an amazing DAB, I really dunno why I strayed from pioneer, it felt like coming home! The signal is second to none, beats pure hands down! Signal everywhere and not patchy like the pure. Good strong solid reception all the time. (Windscreen mount antenna). Ok it ain't gotta cd slot, but unless your a dinosaur lol its all about spotify these days, which works like a dream. Never play cds anymore to be honest. Bluetooth is excellent. Not tried phone yet but will do soon! The colour selection is fantastic! You can customise it to your dash display, or play around and have the key and display colours to your hearts content with limitless colour combos, vibrant colour choice you can cycle through or choose your own in custom. You can have the option to dim the display when you turn the headlights on, but I found it easier to dim the display a bit in menu in brightness, or its too dull in daylight. You can turn the EQ to what level you want. I found natural EQ and loudness on high was a good combo. I cannot praise Pioneer enough on yet another quality piece of kit! I will never ever cheat on you again pioneer! My fling with the pure highway meant nothing to me! Please forgive me lol. You'll need the £25 harness and box kit to connect up the steering wheel controls. Halfords stock them, just ask em they know what you'll need ;)

This radio is Fantastic!! I was after a new head unit for my 1989 Montego and after much looking around I chose this one. It comes with a microphone so that Bluetooth calls come straight through the speakers. You can summon Google assistant and say "play (song) on Spotify" and it works flawlessly! Sound quality is excellent! I ordered a DAB Aerial to go with it and it never skips a beat! Really happy with my purchase! Well recommended!!

The feature set is excellent. Bluetooth and USB audio work very well. Sound quality is good. DAB is excellent. My only slight reservation is that the display is not very bright and when combined with the specular reflections from the display surface, makes it difficult to read in my particular installation. (4x4 with the set mounted high in the dashboard)

My wife bought me a Pioneer MVH-X580DAB for Christmas to replace an ageing Alpine unit. Installation was as simple as any single din head unit when you have all the adaptors already and the sound is at least as good as the Alpine. I Can't comment on the DAB reception as there is no aerial included in the box even though it says there is on the listing Things I like and would loved to have known before I got it: Even when off the clock is displayed. (goes off completely with ignition) Even when off you can still receive calls through the blutooth. (means i can sell my parrot blutooth) The unit is very light which makes it far less likely to rattle the aftermarket fascia I have in my car The blue/white wire is connected and powers my amplified aerial There is a signal meter for the FM so I could tell the blue & white wire was powering the aerial Bluetooth audio is good and can control Android playing music from Deezer (next/previous track) and the track names are displayed on the screen. The display scrolls quickly so it's readable, my old alpine scrolled 1 character per second so it could be a mile before you know what you are listening to. Things I like not so much but can live with: The interface is not the most intuitive, the volume knob selects menu items but you are never quite sure whether you have changed it or exited the previous menu. I had to use the instruction book which is not something I have to do very often with anything. It looks posh but doesn't feel it. As I said before the unit is very light and as a result there is no feeling of solidity just plasticky, it's not too much of a complaint for something that does so much but cost less than £100 when my wife bought it. Overall very happy 5 stars

Brilliant head unit. I bought this for my vw t4 and it is just the job. Easy to install and good dab signal (with separately purchased dab antenna). Wanted something mainly for dab and to connect Spotify to. The fact that it is mechless makes it a more shallow unit and so it gives me more room. (not a lot of room for wiring harness etc in a t4. All in all a great stereo and I'm going to get one for my car too. Wild aren't I?

This is installed in my Mk5 Golf which has certain difficulties, to start with you need to isolate a separate aux power otherwise it draws power constantly. The audio over Bluetooth isn’t the greatest, using the USB port gives a cleaner audio experience. I can’t comment on radio because I do not use either fm or dab. The display is tough to see due to the multitude of colours and the menu is a nightmare! All in all it is rather good if you just choose a playlist and go, or want to answer calls because the microphone and calling is rather good, works with 1-touch Siri and voice control.

Before this I had a Panasonic DEH-3900BT, I upgraded because I need to control ARC app over Bluetooth and 3900BT will only allow you to use ARC over USB. This is a real upgrade in every way. I was pleasantly surprised by the clearer, better sound quality, especially over Bluetooth. Cheaper models seem to ‘clip’ the sound, this one doesn’t. I can’t comment on the FM or DAB radios as I’ve not connected an antenna yet, but the Bluetooth and ARC app work really well.

Auf der Suche nach einem aktuellen Radio für den Mini bin ich über dieses 1DIN-Gerät gestolpert. Leider lässt sich im Mini (R50) kein 2DIN-Radio verbauen und so musste ich zu einem 1DIN-Model greifen. Tja, eigentlich dachte ich mir würde irgendwas fehlen ohne großen Monitor, aber es fehlt nichts!! Da ich die Bedienung von Spotify und TomTom Go eh über das Handy-Display (im Brodit-Halter) erledige und das Radio nur noch zum laut und leise regeln dient bin ich absolut zufrieden. Da ich in der Vergangenheit nur Geräte aus der 300 bis 500 Euro Klasse verbaut habe waren die Erwartungen bei diesem Gerät also nicht sehr hoch. Aber dann schaltete ich DAB+ ein und war von den Socken!! Der Klang ist super, die Senderliste deutlich schneller aktualisiert als bei meinen "Großen" und selbst in der Garage mit geschlossenem Tor hatte ich keine Einbußen bei der Empfangsqualität. OK, ich habe nicht nur das Radio getauscht, sondern auch gleich die Antenne mit! Dazu gab es dann auch gleich noch für vorne und hinten ein Lautsprechersystem von Rainbow. Insgesamt hat alles zusammen (Radio, Antenne und LS) nicht so viel gekostet wie ein ordentliches 2DIN Gerät. Der Unterschied sind aber Welten!! Die gesamte Kette passt perfekt und lässt die Musik im Mini ganz groß werden!! Wer also auf Schnick-Schnack verzichten kann und ein Radio sucht das gut klingt, DAB+ bietet und dank BT eine Verbindung zum Android-Handy aufbaut kann hier ruhig zugreifen. Wer dann noch eine Freisprecheinrichtung dazu haben will muss hier schon fast zugreifen!! Denn die läuft ebenfalls das externem Mikro super sauber und klar. Ich habe vieles gehört und und fast so vieles auch schon verbaut, aber hier hat Pioneer echt ein super Radio zum kleinen Preis abgeliefert!!

La radio es una maravilla para ser un Din 1. Tiene muchas funciones comodoas de usar, el bluetooh funciona de lujo con mi Huawei P10, el cual me muestra su sombre de dispositivo en la pantalla de la radio. Muy buena calidad de sonido, se nota que es una radio de cierta calidad ya, suena mejor a otras de 50€. El DAB no lo he instalado porque no se emite en digital en mi provincia, pero se puede poner siempre que quieras montando la antena que se vende aparte por unos 20€. La radio la instale yo mismo y fue limpio y sencillo. La monte tambien con un adaptador de mandos al volante en un Opel Vectra B del año 2001, y va muy bien. Se controla volumen, pistas, cambio de fuente, revovinar cancion dejando pulsado el pasar pista, y todo esto en Spotify, no solo en USB. El micrfono lo puse detras del volante y se oye muy bien las llamadas todo. Lo unico no tan bueno es como pasa ya en todos los equipos multimedia actuales, es que las llamadas de Bluetooh solo funcionaan con la radio encendida. Asi que tienes que llevar siempre encendida del boton aunque la dejes en un modo que no se escuche nada como en el DAB que sin antena no emite señal... pero vamos que hubiera sido genial que el "parrot" fuese independiente a tener la radio encendida... El movil en general una vez vinculado a la radio se escucha todo por los altavoces del coche con gran calidad, los videos tuyos, los de youtube tambien, y hay aplicacione muy chulas como el Android Auto al que le dices con voz "hey Google" esto por el microfono de la radio, el movil no lo tocas para nada, te lo puede sponer de pantalla delante con algun soporte, y le indicas... recomiendame una heladeria cerca, y te suena por los altavoces los resultados que salen por el movil... tambien con el GPS, le dices eh google, llevame o dime tal sitio o direccion concreta... y te lleva sonando por los altavoces del coche con gran calidad... ademas la musica de fondo se oye mas bajita, y luego sigue sonando normal. La App de esta Pioneer MVH-X580DAB gestiona todo de maravilla y se llama ARC. Tambien aconsejo la App llamada YMusic que es para oir los videos de youtube pero solo el audio para no consumir muchos megas... Y Spotify Premium u otra app de musica en calidad flac suena impecables de detalle y buen sonido. Estoy muy contento con la compra. Me costo 82€ en Mundo Electro, valiendo 156€ desde otros links de amazon, era nueva tambien pero la caja exterior de carton estaba "deteriorada"... unas rajas en el carton relativamente superficiales... la radio totalmente intacta completamente nueva a entrenar con todo su embalaje y accesorios completos, le quite el plastiquito pegado del frontal puesto que es a estrenar, y con sus dos años de garantia. Me he ahorrado bastante dinero y me he llevado una radio de alta categoria. La recomiendo incluso a su precio normal porque es buena compra. La mejor 1 Din que hay por calidad de sonido, compatibilidad con Android, Apps, claridad de Bluetooh, es Pioneer su sonido es garamtia de satisfaccion.

Impeccabile come sempre la Pioneer è efficiente in ogni suo prodotto. -La pecca è che non c'è la lingua italiana...ma basta masticare un po l'inglese, un inglese scolastico, per saper leggere il manuale d'istruzioni (nono stante lo stereo sia molto intuitivo comunque) -Alcuni hanno lamentato la luminosità : risposta è che non conoscono l'inglese e non hanno voglia di aprire il manuale d'istruzioni, poiché basta aprire il menù, andare in DIM SETTING e metterlo su OFF -- per magia si illuminerà lo stereo come non avete mai visto haahah -Non è uno stereo plasticoso come si è letto in altre recensioni poiché il metallo lo trovate solo se spendete 500euro circa... altrimenti, la qualità dei materiali è nella norma -Audio impeccabile e potente, bassi, medi, alti... se avete delle buone casse, sentirete tutto... se avete casse scadenti è naturale che non sentite né bassi né medi! -Audio Bluetooth meraviglioso e cristallino! provato sia in uscita che in entrata! cosa stupenda.... bluetooth acceso sul telefono...appena si entra in auto si connette automaticamente ...connessione con 2 smartphone in contemporanea... con il primo smartphone puoi riprodurre chiamate e musica, con il secondo solamente le chiamate. -facilissima l'installazione anche se, per quanto riguarda il microfono, si consiglia di rivolgersi ad un meccanico, poiché è macchinoso far passare il filo per la plancia -si consiglia di acquistare anche l'antenna DAB se ci si trova nel nord italia. altrimenti se ci si trova spesso nel centro italia o nel sud, non è che sia molto utile perché il segnale è scarso (Basta andare sul sito per vedere la copertura) assolutamente da acquistare

I brought this stereo because it has AM radio included. I cannot find a single din all in one car stereo that is sold in Australia that has AM radio. This is a great stereo because it has it all AM,FM,Dab+, Usb, BT and also the ability for phone conversations with the included microphone.
