Great magic life giving powder
I have been still using this in 2025 and so far its been brilliant almost providing good rooting and propagation results which also depends on a lot of other factors apart from just the rooting hormones. Besides this is my first time using it so I haven't had anything else to compare with. It has definitely lasted for a while and across many propagation attempts. The powder is very fine and sticks well on the surface in a single dip sometimes twice dipping.

Works well
This stuff really works, so if you are thinking of purchasing, go ahead. : ) Sprinkle it inside the planting hole, so that it will touch the roots, or, as I saw on a telly programme the other day and which I now do, sprinkle it over the roots themselves before planting into the planting hole made in the compost you will be adding for the job.

Doff Natural Rooting Powder - the results already look good
I have never bothered to use rooting powder before but this product came up whilst I was looking through the Amazon pages for some other gardening items. It was really cheap, had good user reviews, and so I added it to my order. This is a good size plastic bottle with a firm cap, so little chance of it opening and tipping in between uses. To use is simple, for a cutting you need only wet the end and dip it into the rooting powder (about an inch) and then plant it in compost. If re-potting a plant, it is suggested to sprinkle a little rooting powder at the bottom of the hole before putting the growing plant into the compost. Results - I wasn't expecting anything, to be honest. I had some plant cuttings that I thought I would test out and, within a week, they have trebled in size! This is huge compared with a few other cuttings that I had planted weeks ago and whilst they are growing they are still tiny. The cuttings with the rooting powder will actually need to be repotted now! All in all, my first use of a rooting powder and I am converted. This is clearly a great product that really helps with gardening.

Hit and miss
I have thus far only tried on a few plants with a hit and miss on different ones. I opted for an cheaper product so I guess I shouldn't have high expectations, but I will not persist with this on too many more cuttings.

Better than gels, more control, easy to use, camillia cuttings rooted
Very easy to use. I may update later on effectiveness, but I tied it on some Camilia cuttings, we shall see if they take. UPDATE: Camilia cuttings rooted and so did roses. I think it is better value for money than rooting gels and should last a reasonable time. Tip is to soak the cutting first in water and then dip the end in the rooting powder. The powder sticks to the wet part, I probably used too much, but gently tap the cutting against the side of the pot and the excess powder will fall back into the pot.
